One quick question for you people, how many episodes does it take for you to find out if you like an anime? I know it differs from anime to anime but if you could give me a some sort of guess that would be just as helpful.

Like the title says I'm looking for some anime that's absolutely brilliant. By this I mean one with an amazingly enticing plot, excellent action, and great characters.

Please don't recommend anything with mechas, I don't particularly enjoy giant robot fights. That's kinda what stopped me from watching Code Geass. I've also chckd out Elfen Lied (didn't like it) and Gurren Lagann (sp) but those weren't to my liking.

Some of my favorite anime:

One Piece
Naruto
Yu Yu Hakusho
Shaman king
Ouran Host Club
Ranma 1/2

*I'm currently watching Fairy Tail so I'm not too sure if it will be a favorite, so obviously no need to recommend it.

Other anime I watched, liked, but don't place on a pedestal.

Death Note
Gash Bell
Kenichi

Sooo.. gotta start applying for college and stuff. Applications r ez for the most part but I was hoping some smarter ppl could tell me how the heck I get my school to send transcripts to the colleges I want to go to. Also gonna do some college visits soon, what sorta stuff should I look for @ campus aside from what type of people, size of campus, location of stuff, and class sizes.

Ok one more important thing, I've got an essay topic which tells me to write about the most personally significant act I've done for the community. Now here's the problem, I've only volunteered once for 3 hrs at a library and all I did was shelve DVDs, WTF do i write about?! Also I don't do extra curriculars soo that gives me even less to write about. Toss some ideas at me in regards to the essay.

Does anyone know what manga chapters of Ouran Host Club were not made into anime episodes, same question for Ranma 1/2?

Also, if you've seen both anime and think it's best to just start from the very beginning of the mangas plz say so. THANKS!

Tomorrow I test to get one of the most important pieces of plastic, a driver's license. I'm unbelievably nervous and was wondering if anyone's got any tips on either calming down or just passing the test.

Kinda bored and was wondering if anyone knows any good sitcoms that are similar to the following

1) Home Improvement
2) Boy Meets World
3) Two and A Half Men
4) The George Lopez Show
5) The Office
6) The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Yeah, sometimes I get bored of just watching action-y anime and stuff so I enjoy a good sitcom or w/e u wanna call it and so please recommend a good one! Oh and it's gotta be one I can find online easily.

Oh, and completely off topic, I've noticed a lot of ppl post poems in their blogs and was wondering if ppl get annoyed by that or not?

As you can tell I'm pissed! Reason is because AP Language and Composition exam is coming up and according to my multiple choice practice test scores I won't pass that damn part! A stupid 2 is what I'll get. U need to get at least a 50% on mc to get a passing on it, but damn it our teacher, awesome as she is didn't prep us for mc, mainly essays.
This b my way of blowing of steam now i'm about :/

Anyone know how I can boost my score within 3 days? Time seems to be a factor for me, I can't read and answer 55 questions in an hour, I'm a slow reader!! HELP ME!!

I'm looking for a really good action packed, awesome sword battle, and killer plot sort of anime movie. Do you know the names of any I could find and watch on AC?! I was thinking Ninja Scroll but I couldn't find a good link (all went to stupid Megavideo) and Sword of the Stranger doesn't seem too good.

So I recently started watching One Piece again, I couldn't watch it as much because of school, but after I finished watching Yu-Yu Hakusho and started watching OP again, for some reason OP doesn't grip me as much. I dunno if it's the arc I'm watching, Skypiea, or what. If u watched this arc did u like it? Is there something wrong with me or the arc? If me wtf do i do?! :eek:

Just finished watching Yu-Yu Hakusho, I have to say it is one of the best anime I have ever seen. I can't believe it's over. You ever get that wierd/sad/good feeling when an anime is finished? Man I loved the series. Obviously you can't check it out on AC, it's licensed by Funimation, but take a look at it. That's all i gotta say, YYH forever!!:cool:
