Jumper/Reflex....are good books
Posted 05-09-2008 at 05:07 AM by Juvefc417
so we all know how there is a movie called Jumper. so i watched it, and liked it a lot so i decided to read the book as well. as it turns out, the book is even better!! (arent they always?) and the movie was completely different from the book in many aspects. the only things that they kept the same where some names, and stuff.
so the first book is called Jumper written by Steven Gould. it was better than what i expected so after i finished reading it, i ordered the second one Reflex, it too was great.
In the first book a theme and issue that was addressed a lot was domestic violence, which if you've seen the movie they also demonstrated at the beginning. Then the book focuses on other stuff, like Davy taking on terrorists.
The second book deals with Davy being captured by some people, and then his wife looking for him and stuff with the help of the government.
so basically what im trying to say is that if you have some free time you should read Jumper and check it out. and if you like it, read the second one you won't regret it
since im done with these books i'll try to get the other book that came out specially for the movie and see what that one is about. its completely different from Jumper and Reflex, but im guessing it should also be good. who knows.
