I want to say that my reasoning for watching this show was just because I stumbled upon it, but lets be honest, I am watching it because of Gong Yoo. The man is attractive and I have loved all of the things he has been in that I have watched.
Back to BIG, I like the spin on the body switching in this series. I personally haven't seen this exact type of switching before, where it is only the one actor playing the role of two characters, one in appearance and the other in personality throughout the series. There was this one episode in Supernatural (American) where Sam was kidnapped by these highschoolers who thought it would be beneficial to play with witchcraft and demons. Sam ended up playing both roles where he was Sam in the boy's body and Sam that the boy was possessing. That is the only similarity that I can think of.
The story is cute for the most part, typical of the Korean drama style. Relationship drama, family complications, work troubles. Key pieces to all shows really. I can't say that I know how the show is going to end. I can imagine a few scenarios, but who knows which one will really be the outcome.
There is something about an older woman falling for a younger man that I find to be interesting.
Women usually outlive the man, but men mature slower than women. So, which would you prefer, the man who will be around for about the same time in years as you or the man who is still is in a time in his life that you have exceeded? (Honestly, you can't really generalize or stereotype these scenarios, but that does seem to be a possibility.)
Back to my original point, I find it interesting and personally wouldn't mind something coming of the two's relationship at the end. I also wouldn't mind if it turned out that the girl and man get together after everything. I would think a lot of plot would be needed to set that up though. A few characters are out of place for a happy ending given the last scenario.
We Shall See.

I have seen Secret Garden! ^_^ That was what I was thinking of when I was talking about the body switching. As well as the American movies about it.Posted 07-23-2012 at 05:16 PM by KayKayEllie
