Prayer of the Damned
He rested within the great red bed,
forever entombed within.
The demons danced beside his head
They had long ago, been in.
And as they waited for the newly dead
the priest began to hymn.

hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done,
in earth as it is in heaven.
The devils shrieked his name.
And as hope flickered in his eyes
(much closer they had came)
as they would when, he finally dies.
In a raptured state of shame.
Give us this day our daily bread. And as hope flickered in his eyes

And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive them that trespass against us
The demons began to sass
The man’s heart began to slow.
And soon his body would be in the grass,
he pondered this as his fear began to grow
And he finally knew he was soon to pass.
To an afterlife filled of woe

And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
The man had given into temptation
long, so long ago,
and he was getting to pay the price
as it was time to go.

Oh Leiv this is a wonderful poem, nice mix with the Lords Prayer. It paints a picture of what may happen at the end.
