I know its wierd but I've tried to train my voice to be smooth.... like whenever I read I try to make sure I read with a flow...
I didn't know if people noticed but yesterday a friend of mine told me to read in class (still reading shakespeare) and she told me she liked my voice.
[apparently the whole class agreed]
She said it was very comforting and smooth.
LOL now kinda embarrassed to read in class sometimes... XD

Sometime maybe you could volunteer at the library to record books, if that is something they do. I love reading to kids but make too many mistakes & my voice doesn't last for reading for an adult audience.
Maybe you could do some radio announcing, or some other thing you never considered before!
