Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez accused the U.S. of being "the first country promoting terrorism" in the world, and cursed "a thousand times the Yankee Empire.

Which of the two countries would your consider promotes more terrorism?

This are the results for the poll held in Venezuela:

Venezuela 68%

U.S 20%

Neither 7%

Both 5%

Hugo Chavez Facepalm of the Year

Poor Chavez if he only knew the Yankees are winning the World Series >:P

I, have the right to speak my own opinion. And when an individual comes into power and takes away their countries freedoms. And another country comes in to put a stop to it. I call that liberation. What would you call it?

I didn't say America makes mistakes. Every country makes mistakes, but to put their minuscule mistakes over people's like Kim Jong Il is ridiculous and inhuman.

And America comes and establishes Democracy because why the hell would they establish something different? They aren't coming into other countries with different forms of Government and saying "You must become Democratic or we'll invade you're country." They believe Democracy is the best choice for people who just got out of a Dictatorship, Communism, etc. Which is that really such a bad thing? Hell no.

Actually, the bolded is EXACTLY what they do.

And you American's fail to realize that Chavez hasn't actually taken that many rights away. Not to mention the people of Venezuala AGREE with what he did, for the majority. So, if the country is content, how is it 'liberating' them?

And half of the 'Dictatorships' and 'Communist Reigns' you take control of are merely a Socialist society who pissed America off. As I said, a lot of Americans consider us in Canada Communist. We are a Socialist Society, not Communist. But, since we believe in stuff like *GASP* Public Health Care, you feel the government is 'taking' away rights.

In fact, the only reason America has yet to invade us, IMO, is because they know it's not a sure win. They don't want a repeat of 1812.

If the bolded was exactly what they do. Then America would have fallen a long time ago. That's just an extreme opinion based on bias and stretching facts. You do realise if that was true, the US and their alliances would have been broken off along time ago and most likely had war declared upon them. The UK is a monarchy. And they have some of the best Military Intelligence in the world. If what you say is true they could have easily figured out The US's intentions and broken off their alliance. Yet, their alliance remains strong.

You can bring in the facts that they support each other through money and trade and bull shit like that. But the fact remains that they're allies and they wouldn't support an ally that would have intentions of invading them.

The UK is a Parliamentary Government, which is a Socialist government system, with a superficial Figure Head of a Queen, just as Canada. They are not a Monarchy since the Queen has no actual power. Please learn your facts before talking.

The States also have signed a non-agression pact long ago with the UK, after the War of 1812. Which stands to this day.

You must remember, also, that America has, what? 2600 or so Nuclear Warheads? That's a big deterrant for breaking an alliance.

Actually, I'm incorrect, it's not a Queen, and I'm unsure who is actually the Royalty right now, but the fact remains that they are superficial.

if that's true, then my post from before is even more true.

But I'm done arguing for now. It's obvious we both have completely different opinions and won't ever agree about this situation.

I'm surprised. I'm used to these debates ending with my opponent screaming "YOU ARE A COMMUNIST!" Then ditching the thread. Glad to know you aren't one of those types.

First paragraph, the U.S installed Saddam and then removed him. I don't call that liberation, i call that messing up a country and its people.

Second paragraph: Kim Jong il has hurt only his own people. America on the other hand invades other countries and hurts THERE people.
So what? Because America gets into other peoples business, with good intentions. You think that trying to help liberate other countries while good men and women die fighting for that cause? Over communism rulers who force their beliefs upon others and punish those who don't follow them?

If you believe that's more terrorizing than the latter. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Your always quick to point the finger at every little mistake America makes because of past mistakes like Vietnam, which some people seem to think that America was worse than North Korea during that time period.
1) How did it happen that Japanese managed to "sneak attack" on pearn harbor ?
    2) Why america has losses in pacific war ?

Is it really so easy for several carriers so "sneak up" ? Dont USA have some sonars, ocean patrols ? "hey we lost contact with our cruiisers in sector X" "they prolly taking a break relax" and than boom on Pearl Harbor.

Thats how US leads war, they sell weapons, make other do action, that will anger Allies, or lead to terrorism, and than "world Police USA" enters and cleans the house.

Or who gave Afghanistan weapons to fight off Russia ?

Lol. Nah. Though I did enjoy when George Bush appeared in Saskatoon a few weeks back. I was in that thing, and enjoyed him admitting to him being an idiot. He's one of the better leaders America has had lately, and that's really not saying anything good for America.

Actually, a lot of people believe he was a good leader. He did what he believed needed to be done to protect the country and it's people, without second thought of how he'd end up. A True Leader needs to be able to sacrifice himself for his people.
