My boyfriend is going to cosplay Ulquiorra's 2nd release in about a month and a half. We aren't sure what kind've paint to buy for his body and face. Halloween make-up wont look as good if we use it in large amounts (plus we dont have much) and it doesnt stay on too well. We're thinking about getting liquid latex for his torso, and if it works well, his face. I've been looking up face and body paint non-stop for a week and have yet to find anything useful outside of the liquid latex field
Does anyone know of any kind of good face and body paint you can buy in decent amounts for a decent price??
Or also if you have any advice or reviews on liquid latex.
please help

For the white-ish I STRONGLY suggest good old regular clown make-up. It's widely available, cheap and it's idiot proof. Just be sure to bring some with you at the convention as you may want to reapply a bit, specially if it's hot. But usually, god this thing is golden and it will hold. I think the matt finish really fit the idea I have of Ulqui's skin... white, matt, cold, dead-ish kind of look. Also the make-up "breath" very well and is so comfortable you'll forget about it.
I don't suggest the latex paint at this point cause it's hella shinny and I feel it doesn't really apply to Ulqui's kind of skin.
And before I forgot, it's call grease make-up or something along those line.
But for the details on the face and the whole on the chest (if you go that far) the latex one could be good. I rarely use latex paint since I have a intolerance to it (I'm mildly allergic >.< yeah, FML). The problem with the latex paint is that unless you want to mix your own... and if you are a perfectionnist like me... there no way you can achieve the exact right color.
I also suggest to "try" the paint in a hidden area first as some people have their skin "dyed" by it, and since your BF is doing Ulqui... I can imagine him looking emo for 2 weeks straight ~ Not good at all =P
Latex painting last and will hold in the heat. But it's a bit harder to find and definitly more expensive. It's not that confortable either, but maybe it's just because my skin doesn't like it.
Also, it's quite "unforgivable". Once applied, I always find touch up difficult. Remember you can always add a little but you can't "take out" a little. It's really a little bit (Ok... A LOT) harder to handle.
You can always use waterbased color. Think the butterfly or lion face they paint on kids face at the fair/circus. They are widely available, easy to find. You can always apply a thick coat of it to achieve the result you need and it's easy to rinse and redo in case of mistake. It's very precise if you get the hang of it and use a great brush. Also, it's not as "situationnal" than latex painting. Of course it's not hairbrush, it difficult to have a result that seem the same on the whole thing but it's easy to fix any mistake. I think they come in palette AND in crayons. The crayons maybe be better for you since like the grease based makeup, you may want to reapply a bit if it's hot and a crayon is easier to carry, even tho the only way to have the exact color will be with the palette.Posted 01-04-2010 at 07:19 PM by Hylia

You are totally right. If you have a little bit of hair on your body, latex paint hurt, not only when you take it off but when you move. the worst is the very very light hair we all have on our face or the top of the hand... also, if you apply and the skin is tense or not it does make a difference in the final product... I really don't recomand it >.<Posted 01-04-2010 at 08:27 PM by Hylia

I had great interest in painting and I want to participate in painting competition that is going to held next month in our school. It is the first time I am participating in a competition. Please suggest me best body paint of reasonable rate that has also no any side effects.
