I recently downloaded a few episodes of Death Note and went to play them on my media player when i heard the sound and i didnt see the show i was kinda annoyed. It said that there was an error downloading the codec. i came here and posted a few times but no one answered so i'm here to vent... U guys are free to comment, give advice or whatever

First i'll ask, what format are those files? If they are AVI format then use GSpot to see what codec you need for them and download it.

Absolute best free pack out there. Then use the Zoom media player that comes with it or use VLC media player
