Stitches

Finally got my stitches out after my surgery, feels great, so much more freedom of movement. thank god they weren't metal stitches, those things hurt like a bastard when they are taking them out

True that, you don't feel the stitches when they come in, usually due to the pain you already have.
But when they pull them out (especially the metal ones) it hurts like freakin' hell.
Did you have a nice person take them out or a brute? (You know, the type that just nearly tears open the wound pulling on that stitch.)Posted 09-28-2009 at 02:15 PM by jumbojer

I once had stitches and like a month after they took em out, I was kinda scratching the wound cuz there was this black spot there. After a closer look I noticed it was still a 'leftover' from the stitches. I have plenty of scars from stitches, i've about 35 in total so far. 27 of which were metal, took an hour for them to be taken out, hurt like a *****.
@Jumbojer: luckily i got a decent nurse to take them out this time and they weren't metal so it helped. wasn't too painful getting them out.Posted 09-28-2009 at 03:08 PM by |*PNA*| ARES -
I had stitches inside my mouth when my wisdom teeth were removed... The thing is, to make sure that you don't pull the stitches out when talking or eating they fold a part of your cheek and stitch that together too... So you can't open your mouth properly... Nor chew.... I had to live off soup and things like applesauce etc for a month because I couldn't chew ><Posted 09-28-2009 at 03:54 PM by Ayame - god damn, that sucks. And i'm 18 years old.^^
