A gunfight in the elevator brings us down to the earth
My crime was a grand theft of the undertone
These were nothing but loaned words from wiser men
Auxillary messages from our dead audience
I cried for the very first time when the womb spat me out
I waited for my turn to be baptized in a pool of sharks
Climbed down from the tree just to walk on glass and rubble
Smiled with a piece of paper saying "will work for food"
After hours discussions with men of future
A clean tie strangling the sound to whispers
Of what was promised to me by my mothers tears
I want to see it shatter
My crime was a grand theft of the undertone
These were nothing but loaned words from wiser men
Auxillary messages from our dead audience
I cried for the very first time when the womb spat me out
I waited for my turn to be baptized in a pool of sharks
Climbed down from the tree just to walk on glass and rubble
Smiled with a piece of paper saying "will work for food"
After hours discussions with men of future
A clean tie strangling the sound to whispers
Of what was promised to me by my mothers tears
I want to see it shatter

There are so many ways to interpret this that I can't settle on a singular.
I'm very intrigued to think of where your thoughts were as you wrote this....but equally I enjoy the feeling that it is open to interpretation.
Regardless of that I think it is a wonderful piece...made me think for a while. =)Posted 03-29-2012 at 09:48 PM by Yuri Hyuga
