The description: There are fallen angels who live among us, who torment and tempt every person they encounter, looking for a weakness to exploit. Their sole purpose is to destroy lives wherever they can and Riley a vulnerable girl with a tragic past - seems to be the perfect target. Or is she...?
Only 1 manga book is out so far and i give it a 9/10

another one is Buso Renkin (story and art by Nobuhiro Watsuki: guy who wrote Kenshin) from SJ advanced.

the description: Buso Renkin is the story of teenager Kazuki Muto, who dies trying to save a girl who was being attacked by an eerie monster. The next morning, however, Kazuki is left wondering whether it was all a dream. Lo and behold, the girl, the monster, and his death are all real! The girl, Tokiko Tsumura, was actually trying to slay the homunculus (a beast that can take the form of humans, but whose main source of food is people), but Kazuki got in her way. To revive Kazuki, Tokiko replaces his heart with a "kakugane," an alchemic device that allows him to summon a lance with which to fight the monsters. It turns out that Tokiko is a member of Renkin Kenshi (Alchemist Soldiers), an organization sworn to protect the world from the diabolical creatures. Soon, Kazuki joins Tokiko in her quest to terminate the sinister being that creates and controls the homunculus.

Fruits Basket (by Natsuki Takaya) it's a shojo manga from Tokyopop

Fruits Basket follows the life of the student Tohru Honda, who was recently orphaned when her mother, Kyoko Honda, died in a car accident. After that, Tohru lived with her grandfather, but when remodeling is needed on the house, Tohru resorts to living in a tent and holds down a job to support herself. Despite suffering many hardships, Tohru remains optimistic.
One day, Tohru comes upon a house in the forest that she is temporarily living in which is the home of Shigure Sohma and fellow classmate Yuki Sohma, of the Sohma family. When the Sohmas discover that Tohru is living in a tent, they are quite surprised by her inner strength. The entire area is Sohma property, and Tohru pleads to live upon the property in her quaint tent (affectionately dubbed "her castle"). Feeling sorry for her, and desperate to end their days of filthy living conditions, the Sohmas offer her their spare room in exchange for cooking and housework. When her tent is buried that night in a landslide, burying her mother's picture and school clothes, she has no option but to accept. Soon after she moves in, Kyo Sohma comes to challenge Yuki.
Tohru soon discovers the Sohma family's secret, and the reason why Yuki is so private and secretive at school: thirteen members of the family are possessed by the 12 animal spirits of the Chinese Zodiac ("Jyūnishi" in Japanese) and the spirit of the cat who was left out of the Zodiac according to legend. They transform into animals when hugged by the opposite gender, when they are under a great amount of stress, or weak in any way (such as being sick). When she promises to keep their secret, the Sohmas allow Tohru to keep her memories rather than hypnotically erasing them, a fate that had previously befallen anyone not on the "Inside" of the Sohma family who had discovered the secret.
The story follows the lives of Tohru and the Sohma family, as they deal with each other and a society where neither quite fits in, as well as the feared Akito Sohma, head of the Sohma family. Soon, after living with the Sohma family she began to like, then love all of the Sohmas.
GREAT one...nice drama and plot.. 10/10Posted 01-09-2008 at 04:29 PM by Saphire Reign

Rurouni Kenshin (story and art by Nobuhiro Watsuki) romance/action from Shonen Jump

The Discription: The story starts with Kamiya Kaoru mistaking Himura Kenshin for a murderer known as "Hitokiri Battōsai." When she sees Kenshin's reverse-bladed sword, or sakabatō, she allows that he could not be the murderer. Kenshin saves her from certain death in battle against the real murderer, who claims to be a practitioner of Kamiya Kasshin Ryū, Kaoru's own style, while using the name "Hitokiri Battōsai". Kenshin takes her back to her dojo and Kaoru tells him of recent events while a man named Hiruma Kihei patches up her arm. Later, it turns out that Kihei and the murderer, whose real name is Hiruma Gohei, were working together to try and get Kaoru to sell the dojo. The brothers Hiruma take Kaoru hostage and sic their goons on Kenshin, who takes them all out with his superior speed and sword skill. Before destroying Kaoru's dojo floor with Gohei's face, Kenshin tells everyone that "Hitokiri Battosai doesn't use Kamiya Kasshin Ryu, but an ancient style of the Sengoku era that pits one against many: Hiten Mitsurugi Ryū. If not for such a sword, the body count would increase tenfold" (Watsuki 46). Thus having revealed his identity, Kenshin makes ready to leave -- until Kaoru asks for his name and for him to stay.
This one is...just wow...10/10 the same guy who made this made Buso Renkin..but this manga series came first. It's one of my absolute favorite manga'sPosted 01-10-2008 at 03:35 PM by Saphire Reign

Sugar Sugar Rune by Moyoko Anno

Chocolate and Vanilla are two best friends and candidates for being the queen of the magical world. In order to decide which of the two young girls will be the future ruler, they are sent to Earth to compete against each other. Whoever can capture the most human hearts wins the crown.
To secure a heart, they have to find a boy who feels something for them. If the boy likes them, his hearts might shine with an orange color to show a casual crush. Different colors note different levels of intensity, such as pink for a strong 'like' feeling and deep red for true love. Once a witch finds a heart that shines for her, she says a magic spell and collects the heart to use as currency in the magical world. The human is unharmed, although after the witch takes the heart, he loses any feelings that he ever had for her.
Chocolate is a boisterous, confident kid who thinks that collecting hearts will be a piece of cake. Once she starts going to school in the human world, however, her overbearing personality scares off most guys, much to her irritation. Vanilla, on the other hand, is extremely shy, yet can't seem to help but draw boys' attention. Despite being total opposites and rivals for the crown, the two remain friends and live together in a very posh penthouse apartment.
One kid who won't leave Chocolate alone is Akira, who after seeing all of the strange things that go on around her, is convinced that she's an alien. The other main guy in Chocolate's life is Pierre, a hot but slightly sinister upper year student who has his eye on her. Vanilla has a bad feeling about the mysterious boy, and she thinks that he may be more than what he appears to be, but she doesn't know how to warn the headstrong Chocolate.
That isn't the worst part of it. Chocolate, although she tries to deny it, has a growing crush on Pierre. When a witch's heart turns ruby red, they must give it up to whoever they are in love with. Since witches, unlike humans, only have one heart, falling in love could have fatal consequences.
Pierre is a Good guy!! 10/10 for the manga, 2/10 for anime
the anime doesn't follow the manga whatsoever!!
the manga is a bit harder to read then other manga but its an awesome series!Posted 11-11-2008 at 08:13 PM by Snowchildkitty

Flower of the Deep Sleep by Yuana Kazumi

Yuuki has the ability to see the future. She also has a problem in that her sister has fallen asleep and seems unable to wake up. Then, to make matters worse, in one of her "visions" she sees a little girl and a friend of hers who then ends up sleeping like her sister.
Yuuki finds out she's not the only one with special abilities. The question is, can she use her abilities to change the future that she sees in her visions?
She meets two boys, who appear to be her cousins and they are brothers and she has to chose one of them to marry, The older brother is awesome XD.
The story is extremely complex and very, very interesting. The only disappointing thing is that there are apparently only two volumes of the manga that are planned.
10/10! I give most of the manga I read 10/10 XD Because they are mostly awesome ^_^Posted 11-11-2008 at 08:26 PM by Snowchildkitty
