An Unforgettable 4th

This blog is pretty long, but don't let that scare you away. =P

Ohh, what an Independence Day this was. When I woke up this morning I thought this would in fact, be very forgettable. My step-dad has a massive tooth ache, so he wasn't going to be able to anything, we have no money for fireworks, or anything really and I figured the Beach would just be packed... For most of the day it was normal, not much going on... but once it hit night, everything went crazy.

We live by a bunch of Casinos, so my parents meet new people all the time. And it's how my step-dad gets most of his jobs working on glass... well they met this man who claimed he was a multimillionaire and that he owned this major plumbing company in the North and was down here trying to close a deal for a big job. He offered my step-dad a job, overseeing it. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but in America... times are tough. So they went along with it. He told them he flew down here on his company jet, so they asked to go see it. He said it was being fixed and couldn't be seen... by this time my step-dad figured he was just full of it.

But they kept hanging out with him. He bought JB [step-dad] a cell phone, saying all off his employees had one. Told him he would give him 3000 dollars up front for the job and promised to give him one of his many RV's. A night passed and they were hanging out again. Now, JB likes to mess around a LOT. When I first met him he told me he was a Navy Seal... had me believing it for two weeks. Anyway, he was joking around and said to the guy 'I looked you up online, what's this about prison?' He thought the guy would just laugh... but he instead held his head down and said he was gong to tell them about that. =O He was in the slammer for 10 months because his girlfriend overdosed on drugs that were his and died.

Another day passes... they get a call on the house phone, it's a woman that tells them she met the guy in a Mental Hospital when she was there for depression. The woman was letting him stay with her since he has NO money, because his parents stopped wiring it to him. She was fooled as well, but when he was gone she looked in his cell phone and called his parents who gave her that information. 0.o...

If that wasn't enough, me & my mom went out to watch fireworks for a while. We went to one of the beaches by the house we are renting... it was a warzone. 4 of these 5-year-old kids were shooting these huge fireworks while we walked on the beach, I was basically dodging them... it was crazy. But anyway, we went to this more secluded beach, just kicking around a soccer ball having some fun. And as I was saying how nice & peaceful it was we hear this loud swerve... I look over and this women spun out, totaling this car that was parked not 30 feet from us. So I ran over there, thinking someone was hurt. Luckily no one was in the car and the girl was OK, but both the Mustang Cobra and the other car were in such bad shape it was unbelievable. I asked the girl that was driving if she was OK, blah, blah... cops come, fire dept. comes, ambulance... the whole works.

A crazy couple of days this has been. A truly unforgettable 4th of July. =D
