So, this is a little event gong throughout the month of November that I thought was pretty cool. I should have wrote something about it earlier, since, well... it's already started. But tbh, I just remembered it today.

I digress. :p

So! You've always wanted to make it as a novelist but never had the chance? Always knew you were the next Melville, Rowling, Homer, etc. but needed a place to start? Well, here's your chance.

Every year this event is held, where people from around the world come together and write the rough draft of their novel. A novel is, by their standards, a collection of 50,000 words written within the time period of Nov 1 - Nov 30. It doesn't have to be good, it doesn't even have to make sense, this is all about having fun. Many people join, but only a select few actually finish their work. Think you have what it takes?

I went to the soccer field yesterday... second time I've ever been to one in my life. I met some guys from Hawaii who live in Germany who were visiting Florida (lol?). There was a guy named Jojo who was twice my size but could run as fast/faster than me. And it's now obvious to me that being white is a natural disadvantage. D ':

But I stayed from 5-8:30pm, playing soccer, American football, and more soccer. Bwahahaha... big fookin mistake. My body aches from top to bottom. Damn, it hasn't been that long since I played sports, having to keep up with those bastards was the hardest part.

So today is a day of relaxing. :cool:

I need to watch the last episode of FMA: Brotherhood, read some Manga, go for a swim, and have a real day of Summer fun. Anyone else have plans of chilling?

Aha... that would be awesome. I'd have to make a Yaoi Manga though, and there would be plenty of bishies. It would have to be in WSJ, so the battles would be great. m.m

Anyway, I've been studying Directional Process Analysis, so I'm gonna test my skillz out.
Step 1: Move the mouse over to the "New Tab" opener. (varies from computer to computer)
Step 2: Type in "Mangatoshokan.com" in the address bar. (thanks to Maxi for the awesome website)
Step 3: Look up Bakuman in the Manga Library and begin reading. Prepare to be amazed by the surprising greatness of this Manga.

That was pretty easy. : o
So yeah, I was reluctant to read a Manga about making Manga at first, but I was very very wrong about it. I just found out it's from the same author(s?) of Death Note if that makes you wanna read it more too. It'd be a mistake to pass this one up.

It really gets under my skin when an Anime ruins a good Manga... that's why some Manga are just better off staying hand drawn. Like Veritas, I could never see an Anime living up to the incredible detail of the Manga and be consistent with designs. But one that really gets me is Fairy Tail, I don't know what they were thinking. Maybe they are trying to aim towards younger viewers, such a shame.

Guess I just felt like ranting about that for a second. So I'll ask the question: Ever had an Anime ruin a good Manga for you? Or have a Manga you wouldn't want to be turned Anime?
