Scroll 7: "Resting" day (Part 4)

-Perseus Roither Tharsus, what on earth have you done?! When I said keep an eye on her, I meant don’t let her get injured, but, of course you couldn’t even do that right. Was it so hard? Bring her in, you could've brought her in sooner.- I could hear Per moaning as Vin scolded him. Vin was, how can I put this, she was the devil herself when she was mad. I had and I think I will never see such a scary person. Per had nothing to do, when my face stopped hurting, I would definitely say it was my fault.
-Vin I'm- Per tried apologizing but Vin cut him off.
-Don’t even think about it.- She opened the door and I could hear everyone speaking. It was dinner time already so I guessed they were sitting at the dining table.
-Please, please tell me she tripped and fell flat on her face.- Eron begged.
-What happened to her?- My dad asked.
-Should I help, Vin?- Liz wasn’t at the dining table for some reason, I could tell from the location of her voice, but I couldn’t guess where she was, I was fading away and the smell of blood kept coming.
-Yes Liz, please, bring me my staff, towels and cold water.- Vin ordered, her voice did not have any tone of the sweet Vin I knew, she was somebody completely different.
-Where should I leave her hun?- Per mumbled, I could feel him walking in circles, probably following Vin, who kept moving furniture around.
-Do not honey me, I'm mad at you. Everything you say will be used against you, so just stick to putting her down on the couch and stepping aside.
Per sighed and followed Vin's instructions.
-Okay, if you two lovebirds have finished arguing, I'd love to know what happened.- Eron muttered, he was close.
-Watch it Eron, follow mister useless upstairs and he'll tell you what happened, let's see if he can at least do that right.- Vin said. -No, you know what? Everyone leave, I can't work under pressure, go, everyone, upstairs.- Vin yelled. -Thanks Liz, this'll do, you can stay, this will be a fun thing to learn.- She said, with a friendlier tone. I could imagine my sis's face, she would be scared of Vin, so her light blue eyes would be wide open and her brown, long hair would be loose, because she never tied it. I could hear everyone leaving.
-Okay Vin, is it… Is it bad?- Liz asked, I could tell from her tense voice that she was worried. Even though she was trying to hide her concern. -You see, she gets dizzy when she sees or smells blood, and there's so much.- Liz said.
-Don’t worry Liz, she'll be just fine, now, lets start off by wiping the blood out and then we'll pick the rocks out.- Vin said, she was still mad but she was trying to hide it. She started cleaning the blood out of my face with a wet towel.
-Okay, rocks?.- Liz asked, again, trying to hide her concern.
-A rock exploded in her face.- Vin explained.
-Ex…ploded? How?-
-Well, she--
-Oh, I'm listening to the conversation upstairs, no need to explain.- Liz mumbled, if my memory wasn’t failing, that was the first time Eron had used his powers on Liz. They continued cleaning my face in silence, I was bleeding a lot, and it hurt when they ran the towel through my face, I tried not to say anything but I couldn’t contain some moans, that were followed by a slight twitching of my face, but that hurt more.
-Don’t worry sis, everything will be okay.- Liz said.
-I know it hurts Sheen, it's almost over.- Vin added.
After that, they started taking the rocks out, Oh, the pain. Of course, with my luck, there weren’t three pebbles, no; there were exactly twenty-three microscopical pebbles. And they weren’t just stuck in my face, no, they were really inside my face, the easiest ones to take out were one inch inside my face, enough said. I passed out after the tenth one -Yes, I am really good at passing out-.
When I woke up -Yes, you are going to read these four words at least a thousand times in this story- I was completely covered in something smooth, and it was hot. My wounds didn’t hurt, but it was really hot.
-You awake beasty?- I heard, I opened my eyes but they were covered by the smooth thing.
-No, I'm sleeping. What am I covered in?- I asked, but my mouth was covered with the thing so it was muffled and hard to understand.
I could hear Eron laugh. -You are covered in towels.- He said, then he took one off my arm and replaced it with a cooler one.
-Towels? Why on earth would I need towels? No, I've got a better question. Why do I feel the towels are cold? My body temperature is like, I have no idea but it's really cold, so I shouldn’t feel they're cold. I have never in my life felt this hot- I didn’t mean to sound mean, but it was so hot I was getting a little desperate.
-Well- Vin said - You're running a fever, you're really high, even for a normal human.-
-Just what I need, damn, how long have I been out?- I mumbled as I fought with the towel that was wrapped around my face.
-Not long, you fell asleep yesterday night, and its twelve pm.- Vin said. -You're really lucky, you know? The pebbles didn’t reach anything important.- She helped me with the towel that was covering my face.
-Yeah, I'm really lucky. A rock exploded in my face, I'm the most fortunate person in the world.- I complained.
-Now, don’t be grumpy. Things like this happen. Though, I must say you were very unlucky to have Perseus around.- She muttered and then she gritted her teeth. Vin started changing my already hot towels with cool, new ones.
-Don’t be mad at him.- I begged -I was too close to the rock and I didn’t want to leave when I was hurt. See? My entire fault, no need to be mad at Per. Come on, I feel really guilty.- I added.
-Well, my job here is done, so I'll leave you two to your girly talk, bye beasty, bye evil banshee.- Eron said and then ran out.
-I swear, one day I'll kill him. But come on Sheens, you're smaller than him, he could've forced you to come, he should have. But he didn’t.- Vin pushed a chair next to my bed and sat in it.
-What are you anyways?- I inquired, I didn’t know whether they were boyfriend/girlfriend or if they were getting there.
-He hasn't asked me yet. I wouldn’t say yes anyways.- Vin muttered. -He's an ass.-
-Aww, come on Vin, don’t say that, its too harsh. Be mad at me for being an irresponsible brat, can you do that?- I could feel the fever was going up, the towels felt colder.
-No, I can't do that. Oh, damn, the fever's going up, try to sleep Sheen, it will be over soon.- Vin started moving around, but I couldn’t see her clearly, but on the other hand there were green monkeys on her head so that wasn’t the worse thing happening to me right now.
-Umm, Vin, you normally do not wear green monkeys on your head, right?- I asked, hoping that the answer would he yes.
-Erm, Sheen, sleep, I'll try to decrease the… Hallucinations.- I heard the door open and footsteps.
-What happened?- Eron, I should've guessed. He was all over me since… That day. I opened my eyes, I wish I didn’t, I saw Eron walk up to me and strange me, but his face was uglier. I couldn’t help it and I screamed.
-What's going on with you Sheena?- Eron asked while he strangled me.
-She's scared, Eron, go away!- Per yelled.
-But I didn’t do anything!- Eron yelled back, still strangling me. I was still yelling. The voices slowly faded away and my vision became blurrier by the second.
