A Letter To Jesus, And Everybody Else.

Well, my teacher has asked me to do a eye-opening letter to Jesus and read it on my graduation tomorrow, so here it is, tell me if you like it, and if i left anything out please, do tell me.
Dear Jesus:
Well, I'm Susa, as you already know, or maybe you don't, I don't know if you do know, but i don't believe in you, but I had this crazy idea that maybe you did exist and well, I had some things I had to tell you. I have to warn you, none of them are really good, and I'm very sorry to be the bearer of the bad news.
I'm going to sum it up for you and then go into details, it’s a nice icebreaker, here it is, almost everyone has forgotten what Christmas is. I know, I think you have heard this many, many times, but it's not just that. The main character in Christmas should be you, therefore the name CHRISTmas.
Not only you have been forgotten, but the Coke Company has made sure you are replaced, too, I find this really humiliating for you, because you have been replaced by a chubby old man dressed in red that spreads gifts to all the kids in the world, his name is Santa Claus and he can climb through chimneys, he is your antagonist.
Now, if I may inform you more about this subject, what I have seen in the little kids around me really freaked me out. All I see for Christmas these past years are greedy little devils. Seriously, its spooky, all they do is ask and ask and ask, of course, they do not know their parents are the ones paying, but it's just too much. They ask for things they don’t need, toys, electronic things, plushies, clothes, ect. They don’t even think about why they are getting gifts, they don’t think about why this festivity is celebrated, all they think about is material things. And that is just not right; I have asked little ones a simple question: ¿Do you know why Christmas is celebrated? I was surprised, out of five, none knew the answer, and if I can say so, they are not the dumbest kids in my country. I am not blaming anyone, but this has got to stop, humans have become obsessed with possessions, and I don’t think that is what you wanted.
Other aspect of this awful fact is that you will slowly fade away and be forgotten, I'm sorry if I'm being too harsh, but that is what I have been seeing. For example, the original name of this festivity is Christmas, right? Your name was there, so everyone would at least remember because of that, but some really clever person replaced your name with a big "X". That is just low, its not Christmas anymore, its Xmas, its shorter, but you have been removed from the name, and I would be pissed.
The bad news aren’t over yet, I can go on and on about the horrible things that have been lost. Everyone gives presents and receives presents, material things that they do not need, I have decided to go against this and I will not ask for anything and I will not receive presents, just for a simple reason, people starve to death in the streets, and I can not live with a clean conscience knowing that I got a new pair of jeans while a person is either starving, freezing, etc. to death, that is not right either. I'm not talking about everyone, some families give presents to poor people, and I am in favor of that, but it’s a globalized thing that can not be stopped that easily.
Christmas carols have been replaced for Xmas songs about Santa Claus coming to town, and him making a list and checking it twice, and parents torment their kids with the Santa thing, I cannot count the times my parents said "Behave of Santa will not give you any presents this year" When I was smaller than I am now, that threat was horrible, now it sounds really stupid.
Going back to the greedy devils topic, I think you should intervene, because parents, without knowing, are creating a generation -The generation of the future, the one that will be in charge of the earth when its in it worse state because of what humans have done to her- of bad people. And that bad people will raise more bad people and it’s a vicious circle that has no turning back after a while.
For me, there is no better gift than knowing my family and friends are there for me, and the best gift I can give is support and love to all my loved ones, regardless of where they are. Lately, that is not enough for anyone, and it's frustrating to see the bonds of true friendship fade away and instead be covered by gifts that have no sentiments in them. I know I'm not the only one that thinks of Christmas this, like a chance to show love and friendship, and support to those that need it. No, I am not the only one, but we are not enough, we need help from upstairs, if you know what I mean.
It's sad to watch the humans like this, stressing over buying presents, spending fortunes in material things, when they could be feeding needy people. It's heartbreaking to see kids acting like Greed itself. It's not fair for you, you that gave everything for us. You, all you ask is one day to be remembered, and not even that we can do right, I'm sorry Jesus, I really am, and in behalf of all the people that are still relatively sane in this world, I beg of you, please make this stop, for you, regain your honor, for us, do us one last favor, for every single person that has forgotten what Christmas is about, for all the people that have been brainwashed, I ask you to make this stop.

ok the true meaning of christmas doesnt have to be the religious side to it but i dont like the coporate sside i like the idea of giving to ur fellow man :/ srry im not a christian so i dont celibrate christmas like that

I totally agree with you that kids these days, and people in general, are very greedy. You'd think that while the parents are giving out presents, they would remind their kids what Christmas is really about. And here is a little tidbit, in case you didn't know: Santa Claus came from/is inspired by St. Nicholas. I know what you mean, and as much as people may laugh at this, I LOVE THE CHILD JESUS. I have always loved Christmas since I was young, I came from a big family and we never had what we wanted. Ever. So as I got older, I began to understand what really happened on that December the 25th so long ago. Like how it really is a miracle, why it is so special. ("Away in the Manger" always chokes me up) As my son grows, I hope that he hes a love for Jesus that is greater than mine. Just so you know, there are many children that know what Christmas is and love it the same. In my experience they are all catholic and make it their duty to know. Traditional Catholic, like me.
