Waves In The Sea
Happiness has come and gone
Like a wave in the sea,
It reached my toes and fell back from where it came
As I saw it coming, I was looking forward to it
As it saw it getting closer, I took one step closer,
As it hit me, I wished the moment lasted forever
As it stayed with me, I really thought it would last forever
As it started leaving, I took one step closer again, so it wouldn’t leave me just yet
As it kept leaving, I started to feel abandoned.
As I saw it leaving, I felt useless in this world.
As it disappeared into the big sea, I realized nothing lasts forever,
And as I realized that, another wave reached my toes,
And as it reached my toes, I discovered happiness may leave,
But it always comes back, just like the waves in the sea.
