Rather than go on into a long speech about this, I find it far easier to keep things simple in what I wish to share. I finally figured something out about myself today, what drives my personality, thoughts, actions. I found that I am deathly afraid of something, terrified really when I think about it. I can't stand the thought of death, my own that is. I find it horrifying.

The upside to Atheism is that you can think of the afterlife what you want. For example, I believe that everyone will go to what they think their 'heaven'/'walhalla'/whatever is.
I have nothing to be afraid of believing that.
I nearly died numerous of times ( The only reasons i'm alive are my reflexes and my training xD ) and I did not see my life flashing before my eyes.
Got hit by a car going 100km/h while I was driving the motor.
First you feel like you're in slow motion, than you feel like you're in fastforward. Basically that. ^^
The only thought I could utter to think of was; 'So... That was it huh?'
Edged weapon barely missing your throat numerous times, the first few times everything slows down and your body feels heavy. But that's it. After getting used to it, you only feel a bit of numbness due to the adrenaline.

I am afraid of razor blades though. Nightmares of people's skin being shaved off, sliding down a stair rail that suddenly turns into one...razors are scary.
