Hey guys and girls(or ladies, whatever) xD
Im having a project in Islam, and our topic is the difference between men and women, and how Islam is (both in theory and reality) towards women in the society.
I just wondered if anyone could help me a little with this, as I dont really know alot about it. I dont know what to believe either, because Ive heard ALOT.
Thanks for reading anyways, and I hope someone out there can give some feedback of some sort

Ok well Im muslim,used to be a dam good one in fact...and I hope to be again.I dont do the right thing by myself or my society... but I DO know what the right thing IS...especially in Islam.
First off I just wanted to make that clear.Islam isnt about what an indivdual percieves as right and wrong but what God has decreed in the Quraan.
In Islam women adn men are equal in many ways but a few.We worship,fast,pray and call upon God in the same ways.We rasie our families,get inheritance and also look to God ofr guidance.A wife has rights upon her husband just as a husband has rights upon his wife.Also as believers of this religion we will (men adn women) be judged,pardoned or punished according to the good and or bad we dealt in this world.
For the record also...EVERY MAN OR WOMAN PAST THE AGE OF PUBERTY MUST WEAR HIJAB...Not for any human,but because God has decreed it is best for us...and HE knows best.Posted 11-02-2009 at 05:30 PM by QUEEN_UCHIHA -

- lolz ppl! let me clear fings up for you!! basically in islam men and women are given equal status but different roles! its the mens duty to provide for his family and the womens duty to look after the home! thats not to say that women shouldnt be allowed out of the house! they can go out and get work! and SHOULD go out and get an education as Islam teaches that everyone should seek knowledge! they wear the hijab to hide their beauty from prying eyes. however to be honest in modern times men in muslim countries have lost the true meaning of hijab and some use it to subordinate women! but NOT all. overall the meaning of islam is peace and thats it objective too! dont believe the stereotypes and stupidness you hear from ignorant ppl!Posted 11-15-2009 at 03:19 PM by adorable_zahra
