BLEACH: A New Millennium Pt. 1

Posted 01-23-2012 at 05:02 AM by wayne9350

Introduction

Aizen Sousuke was the former Division 5 Captain of the Soul Society's Gotei 13, and leader of the Invading Arrancar Army of Las Noches. Aizen waged war against Soul Society, with accomplices Gin Ichimaru, and Kaname Tousen, the former Captains of Divisions 3 and 9 in the Gotei 13. The Espada, the top 10 arrancar of Aizen's Invading Army, were mostly defeated by the Gotei 13 Captains alone. The Vizards, a group of runaway shinigami with hollow powers and masks, or "psuedo arrancar" as Aizen called them, came to the Gotei 13's aid in defeating the remaining Espada. Alas, even the Gotei 13, with the unlikely assistance of the Vizards, could not have accomplished that without taking heavy casualties. Both the Gotei 13 and the Vizards were at their breaking point, when Aizen finally took the battlefield. Gin and Tousen also joined the battle, alongside Aizen, and in fact did most of the battling for him. Together, they were able to crush the Gotei 13, and the Vizards with much haste. Tousen, however, lost his life in the final moments of the battle against, a certain Captain of the Gotei 13.

With the Gotei 13 and Vizards defeated, Aizen and Gin were ready to proceed with their plans to create the "Royal Key" to open a portal to the dimension where the Soul King resides. However, Ichigo Kurosaki, a former Substitute Shinigami, arrived in time to stop them, or so he hoped. Just as he arrived, Ichigo was joined by three more runaway shinigami. Kisuke Urahara, Yoruichi Shihouin, and Ichigo's own father, Isshin Kurosaki, came to the aid of Ichigo and all of Soul Society. Together, they confronted Aizen and Gin in the hopes of defeating them and stopping their nefarious plot. However, using the Hougyoku as catalyst, Aizen began to transform into a Godly form as he engaged in battle, and one by one, he killed the three fugitive shinigami that were assisting Ichigo. Ichigo struggled to rescue his comrades as they fell, but he could not escape his own battle with Gin, who was merely toying with him.

Standing alone against the awesome might of Aizen and Gin, Ichigo became fearful for his own life, and lost the will to fight. If it weren't for Gin's astonishing betrayal, Ichigo would have surely been killed then and there. Gin did, however, betray Aizen, and just in the nick of time. He had attempted to steal the Houygoku, which had become bonded to the Godly Aizen that stood before him. However, even without the Hougyoku, Aizen proved too much for even Gin. Without a moment’s hesitation, Aizen had slaughtered his former comrade, Gin Ichimaru.

As Aizen was about to kill off Ichigo, and put an end to all the battling, an unlikely but fortunate happening occurred. The Soul King, the King of Soul Society, and creator of all that is and ever was, opened a portal to the dimension he resides in himself, making Aizen's plan to create a "Royal Key" pointless. The ironic appearance of the Soul King in the human world pleased Aizen, and he decided to ignore Ichigo, and proceed with killing the Soul King to overthrow him. To no surprise, the Soul King was much more than a match for Aizen. After having watched the members of his Soul Society's Gotei 13 fall at the hands of Aizen, the Soul King realized that Aizen was too much of a threat to leave for the Gotei 13 to deal with alone. This realization, late as it was, is why the Soul King left his own dimension and came to the living world. Aizen was no match for the true God of this world, and was overwhelmed by the Soul King's awesome power. In one move, the creator of all things obliterated Aizen's very existence from this universe, in a magnificent blast of radiant light.

After that one attack, there was no trace of Aizen left, and for some unknown reason Ichigo's existence had disappeared as well. It was thought at the time that he got caught in the blast of God's might, which was only intended to kill Aizen. The Soul King was not concerned with this however, and left to return to his own dimension where he resides. Those who were left of the Gotei 13 eventually recovered and returned to the Soul Society. There were arrancar who were believed to have survived the war as well, but the Gotei 13 could not hunt them down at the time, and they have not been seen since.

Shortly after the war was over, Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13, Yamamoto Genryusai, was ordered to join the Elite Guard for the Soul King. He resigned as Captain-Commander immediately, and promoted Shunsui Kyouraku to Captain-Commander in his stead. The Gotei 13 never heard from former Captain-Commander Yamamoto Genryusai again, and the Captain and Luetenant seat vacancies caused by the deaths of many high ranking officers during the war, were soon filled. Under the command of Shunsui, the Gotei 13, and all of Soul Society ran smoothly. The Central 46 were disbanded, as they were seen as liable for all the trouble that was caused up until the war. The only thing that went a miss after that was the unsettling death of Division 11 Captain, Zaraki Kenpachi, and the disappearance of his Luetenant, Yachiru Kusajishi. Zaraki died in battle, against his fellow Gotei 13 Captains, from his random outburst of violence and blood lust. He died with a sinister grin, after cutting down several high ranking officers, and many low ranking officers as well, while laughing maniacally the whole way. Yachiru, his Leutenant, disappeared after that. She was believed to have abandoned the Soul Society, because without Kenpachi she had no desire to be there. Their seats were quickly filled with surviving officers from their own division.

Due to the negligence of the Soul Society, the whole world knew of the war that took place in the human world. Humans became aware of the Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and even the Soul King. This proved to be a problem at first, but fortunately, this problem was able to work itself out. Over a few years, the stories of what happened became rumors, and as decades passed those rumors became legends, and so on as the centuries continued. The Soul Society remained in peace for a whole millennium, aside from the Kenpachi incident, which became officially known as "Kenpachi's Massacre".

A whole millennium, one thousand years, has passed since the war between Aizen and the Soul Society. Those who survived still tell of it to this day, and those who died in battle are remembered in the hearts of those survivors. The human world hasn't changed much since then though. Humanity advancements hit a pause during the discovery of the Soul Society and the Soul King. They knew all too much at the time, but eventually their knowledge of those events subsided and they slowly picked up their pace at advancing technologically. However, they haven't advanced much in just one millennium, and in the year 3000 things aren't much different than they were a thousand years ago. Not much has changed in the Human World or Soul Society. Still, this is where our new story begins, thousand years later...

ok, that was pretty decent until you got to the part where nothing much changes in a 1000 years, which is just plain ridiculous

Why fook would SK just waltz in without sending his personal cronies in at first?

An entire squad of Captain level shinigami armed with possibly godly forbidden and high level spells would have had a hell of a chance...

And if you didn't want any tech advancement because it would complicate your story you should used a lesser period of time as opposed to a 1000 years...

1 century is a large enough time period as is...

Plus a techno revolutionized humanity would have added another adverse faction to the story, they'd be like the Nazi's from JoJo's that were studying the men in pillars.
