Ouch!

Stubbed my pinky toe a week ago, and it started bleeding. A few days later, the skin under the nail turns purple.
Now two sides of my nail are detached from my toe and its hanging on to one side of my toe. Its pretty discusting, and im afraid to rip it off, I might tear up.
Haha anyways, I was wondering should I just soak it in water and rip it off?
I was thinking the skins going to start growing back on it while its crooked. And its going to hurt even worse when I walk.
Opinions!?

I had a worse case.
I was closing a door of the car and (no idea how) I slamed my finger with the door xD
Then the skin under turned yellow->purple->black
and the nail was living his own life xD Guess what? I RIPPED IT OFF.
And my condition got worse xD It feels really uncomfortable without ANY nail (even hanging)

So I just clipped the crap out of it, now theres just a little sliver of nail on my toe, haha.

once it fall off, be sure your nail don't grow "under the skin" like it goes and poke the skin. Idk how you call that in english >.<
But yeah, you far from finish to take care of that toe nail XD Since it's the pinky toe, you may be lucky and it may fix it'self but if not, you may want to soak it regulary. I know it sound weird but when you are hurt I always soak my feet in a bucket of water with a fews drop of bleach, thats how we did on the farm and I kept the habit... It's perfect to let it soak while you watch anime too =P Practical and fun !
Then if you notice it want to grow under the skin, just stuff cotton under it and put a bandaid. The cotton will keep it from poking the skin. I had my toes crushed once and it's how the doc told me to do it... it worked on 9/10 toes... big toe on my left feet didnt wanted to cooperate ; ;

jeez i happen to have pretty big feet
and my house is kinda cramped
not to mention im a clutz
so you can imagine that i bang my foot on a daily basis
ive had worse then you trust me
