It's not "ha-ha" funny. It's more like Monty Python. Like in the 6th part where the General's aide tells him "maybe we should surrender" and another aide says "but Ge li said..." and the General *stabs* him saying "don't talk to me about Ge li!" The other aides have to carry the victim out and they look at the General like he's on drugs while he's threatening to stab another of his own men. And when the water breaks and all those soldiers go flying in the air! It's hilarious! And I bet you didn't expect those hot air balloons in the 4th century, huh? That was out there! Another thing was the Butch Cassidy jump into the river. It wasn't a comedy at all but I bet the cast had trouble keeping straight faces sometimes.
