They changed the story a lot. I remember in the original San Guo Yien I book that Zhou Yu and Zhu Ge Liang were rivals and Zhou Yu dies because of his jealousy of Zhu Ge Liang. I also remember that Tsao Tsao/Cao Cao retreats but is chased down by Liu Bei's forces (led by Guan Yu), but Guan Yu lets Tsao Tsao go because Tsao Tsao once let Guan Yu go (back when Guan Yu was forced to serve under Tsao Tsao, but escaped by killing 6 of Tsao Tsao's generals while crossing six gates/rivers to get back to Liu Bei). In fact, later in the story, Tsao Tsao supposedly dies from shock and sorrow after seeing Guan Yu's severed head (Wu and Shu break their alliance later on and cause the deaths of Guan Yu (Guan Yu is actually beheaded by Sun Quan's people after being captured), then Zhang Fei, and finally Liu Bei).

Wow excellent movie i give it 95013850918 thumbs up. These are my type of movies.

yes zhuge and zhou were rivals since shu took over a land that should have belonged to Wu. But Zhou died of illness after the battle of red cliff. And i see why they ended the movie different from the real story. It;s probably b.c they didnt want it to seem like there was goin to be another sequence to the movie for those that dont know the true story of red cliff. but yea this was a really good movie.

Searching Videos for "red cliff 2" | Veoh I can read the subtitle clearly.. try to change it.
