I do not like the idea of a sequel as well. As far as I am concerned, the ending to BBJX was perfect in it's on sad way. The writting at the end that implied that it is better to have not loved if not fated to be together tells viewers that Ruo Xi did not want to pursue her love for 4th prince even if they meet in modern times because they are not fated to be together.

The idea that the second instalment's about Ruo Xi and 14th prince is a good idea but I am nervous about how they plan to tell the story. The story is about unrequitted love being brought forward to the modern times. Toss in corporate struggles - you might actually have a nice story ONLY IF IT IS TOLD cleverly!! Also, get rid of the BBJX title. It will be difficult to out-do BBJX and this should be given the respect as a new drama. It is a spin-off of BBJX and deserves a new name or it will forever be compared against BBJX. Not a smart move at all! Also, by associating it with BBJX tells viewers that it is a business move and that makes me nervous and anxious about the storyline. Dodgy with a capital D! The Chinese can get too greedy, as evident from their past records with making sequels to dramas that made it big....only the sequels are often big let-downs!! Don't they learn anything at all?? On this matter, they can learn from the Koreans - keep a good drama intact. No sequels plase!

Again, as far as I am concerned, the love story between Ruo Xi and 4th Prince ended in the last scene in BBJX when she'd decided not to pursue him. That's the end. A perfect end for a perfect story.

If they are to tell a new story of Ruo Xi in modern times, then they should not call it BBJX. Give it another name please.

I don't think so. At least they are not confirmed. So far they have the lead female and the 4th prince coming back. They are trying to get the 8th one to sign on too but have not, as of yet. Not sure the 10th and 13 are going to be invited.

Did I mention that I managed to get my daughter hooked on this one, just a week before her wedding???? I bet she's thinking of the princes in her honeymoon now! Poor son-in-law. LOL

In other news, the only Prince reappearing in the follow up to this is the 10th Prince, Ye Zhu Xin, and of course, the 4th, Nicky Wu.

The 8th (Kevin Cheng) and 13th (Yuan Hong) princes, are off filming other shows. They are supposed to make cameos though. The 14th prince (Lin Geng Xin) declined to reprise his role. That, and he's also off filming. The other cast members may still kind of in limbo, I think, as to if they will or will not be in the show.

How they are going to make this work since they are bringing it to modern day, will be interesting to watch.
