Ok, it's 2012 and any seasoned and avid wuxia fan will tell you that it is time for another great wuxia series. Well... here it is, the greatly anticipated wuxia-fantasy-historical series of the year... Xuan Yuan Sword 3 Legend or also known as Rift of the Sky or Scar of the Sky. It is rumoured to be starting soon this year.

It stars, once again, my favourite wuxia actor, Hu Ge. The man is born to be in the roles of wuxia heroes... serious! And again, he looks terribly yummy as the hero.

I know some of you have been asking me to recommend some wuxia series. Truth is, they are very rare and production of such series always takes up lots of $$ and time. True, there are some fantasy-themed series that were released but they are sloppy and poor attempts at adapting manga/anime storylines into dramas. I have expectations for this one. I do not know if DC will ever have this drama here. Wuxia is not really DC's strength because it takes forever for any wuxia series to be subbed into English. The reason for this is simple. You require someone who can read and write chinese to a certain level to translate historical and wuxia series. The chinese spoken is of higher level and they also tend to use a lot of sayings and similes to get their points across. So, if you are just a rudimentary chinese speaker with no chinese education background, you will not be able to fully understand and translate the series.

There is no problem getting the episodes raw using the chinese or taiwanese search engines and streaming sites, if you can watch it raw.

I thought I'll just let you guys know, just in case anyone is interested. The love stories in this one are rather... sad. There will be bittersweet, happy and sad moments in the romances. I will not give the ending away. *zips mouth*
