He won the game because no one could even manage to hit him once. How would they win a one on one fight if they can't hit him at all?

His magic is just plain hax. It was hardly made for the game.

Maybe Zeref is using them to have the gate opened for his own ends? But even if he told Evil Beard & the King about Fairy Sphere, they seemed rather surprised and unaware about the existence/presence of celestial spirit mages. You'd kind of expect them to know where all the 12 zodiac keys are by now, wouldn't you?

Evil Beard Man won't dare interrupt a Natsu fight if he knows what's good for him. Natsu will probably (hopefully, finally) lose the fight but win the "war" in the sense that people like Rogue will become ashamed of their guild.

Only thing I don't get is how they expected to open their 'other world' gate if they (apparently) needed all 12 keys and 10 of them were inaccessible for the last 7 years. I mean were they just hoping to get lucky one day and find all the keys all at once during the games? Or were they planning to steal them while they keep building up that mysterious power Jellal's been investigating? Weird... (yes, I know we'll get the details of the plan later, but I doubt it will explain what they were going to do with 10 keys missing...)

Well not only that, it's like you said if he needed all 12 and even accounting for him "knowing" lucy was going to be there, the shock on his face when he saw yukino was also a stellar spirit mage was remarkable. He wasn't expecting her, so how was he going to "fully" open the gate with just 10?

only one tryed to hit him, and when he hit the others with his beaaaaaaaaaaam they get ported somewhere else. if its 1vs1 i would been different.

well we only saw one person try (none the less the one in 2nd place)

however he remained up there for the rest of the game apparently, stating himself he didnt need to hide. I doubt others didn't try to attack.
