well it's pretty simple, u just have an animal of your choice to assist you(i guess it could be anything from the op universe, from mohji's lion to a flying fish) either for assisting u in fighting or for fast moving and u rely on your weapon or df to fight, like mohji used a whip, gan fall used a lance and dials etc.)
maybe in high ranks the animal can get a df like pierre

it would also be cool if u had a choice to have your starting df eaten by your animal or weapon

That would overpower the class a bit.. but each new character has the right to chose 1 Devil fruit for himself ... if someone wants his animal to eat one instead of him no problem with me

lol yeah it is kinda. Also, will Rokushiki techniques be gained as you increase in rank or will there just be a few we can't use?

Rokushiki - Only Geppou/Shigan allowed for now, LTC/High-Roller's can use all basic moves (Rokuougan and special versions of a move available for Commodore/Five Star).

at ensign/rookie level you cant use all the techniques. To become a master you must be at least LTC/High-Roller I did this because there is alot more variety in Rokushiki compared to the other Fighting Styles. And to become a complete master you need Commodore/Five Star.

Rankyaku Hyoubi is a special version of Rankyaku.
