FanClub Rules & Discussion Thread [Read before posting a new topic!]

Welcome to the FanClub Discussion Thread. Here is where you can ask questions related to the FanClub area. If you have questions about opening a new fanclub here than you may post here and any questions you'd like. Before doing that though, please check the Mini FAQ below about the types of FanClubs that are allowed or not allowed. Also check to see if the type of thread you want to open will only result in being turned into another chat thread. There will be a thread soon, hopefully, where almost everyone can speak. Like another chat thread but for the FanClubs Area to keep spam in that thread. Obviously there will be spam in the other threads of the FanClubs but that's alright.


Right now, I'm in the process of going through threads and trying to decide if they should be opened or closed. That depends on the amount of spam the thread draws and also whether the thread stays on topic or not. Good examples of threads that stay on topic would be:

1. Final Fantasy Fan Club
2. Sasuke's Funny Faces
3. Yakuza~Fangirling~Fanboying~Club
4. Etc.

FanClub's Mini FAQ

Here is what is considered to be a good thread.

• A thread that stays on topic more than 80% of the time.
• A thread that does not attract negativity between users, guests, or staff.
• A thread that does not flame, troll, or cause problems between others. Same as the above but this is just to make it more clear.
• If a Staff Member, Moderator, Super Moderator, or Admin comes into a thread and is taking care of something or just wants to talk, don't start spouting things like:

1. "oh crap run! a mod!"
2. "aww man fun's over"
3. "you're gonna kill the thread!"
4. "dont scare away the people D:"

None of that helps or is very appropriate. If a part of staff comes in then just respect them. If they don't say anything to you than leave them be and enjoy your time because I'm sure they're trying to do the same. If you have a problem with a staff member than PM DarkUmagon or Mavi and they will handle it.

If you don't get an answer from DarkUmagon or Mavi about something else, than you can ask any staff member or mod. You can find the list of Mods and a few Staff Members here:

Not all AC/DC Staff Members are on that list.

Guidelines/FAQs To Keep Your Thread Open

If you want to keep your thread open and not closed for things like spam, just follow these simple guidelines. Don't make a thread that will just turn into another chat thread. I will close them as soon as I see them. If a Social Group can handle what you want, then make one of those instead. 1. Spam is alright, just don't spam too much and by too much, I mean like one liners for your next 3-5 posts. I know that it gets pretty boring around here when there's not a lot of people around. If you want to spam just keep it to a minimum.
   
2. The type of spam I don't want to see too much around are things like:
   • "......."
   • "1111111"
   • "Yea..."
   • The biggest spam objects, the smilies. Don't use the :burn: :rolleyes: :eyes: :eek: :hehe: :hehe: :cool: :mad: :confused: stuff too much PLEASE!
   • Etc.
3. When you make a thread, make something that won't attract so much spam. Don't make that could get off topic easily.
4. Keep it clean ofcourse. Regular AC rules still apply no matter where on the site.

Consequences

The best part of this whole ordeal. These are the rules that I am enforcing in the FanClubs Section. First of all the definition of Spam in my eyes.

Spam- Spam in the eyes of Pspfanatic is that you can spam. Just not too ridiculously much. By not ridiculously much, Psp means that you can't spam the same thing 3-4 times in a row. We know that there are sometimes lags on AC and we don't blame you for that or when you post 2 times in a row because of the lag. Just take it easy and don't worry about it. Spam also means not posting silly things to just take up space like "....." to just make a post. That's what Psp describes spam is right now. He sort of needs sleep so we'll see if he changes it when he wakes up the next day.

Basically, if you do anything ridiculously retarded like try to advertise another anime site than you'll be banned or given an infraction. Ofcourse, if you didn't know and you're a newbie then we could let it slide but it depends on the situation. If you flame/troll someone, you could also receive a ban or infraction or a warning, this also depends on the situation. Mostly everything depends on the situation so just try not to be stupid and act up or you could be banned. If you post adult material, automatic ban. For how long? Who knows to be honest. Just stay out of trouble!

Rules

1. Control your spamming. This is one of the big rules. There's been too much spam lately and that's not good. Try to stay on topic. Spamming is considered bad. We classify Spam as one liners such as “Lol....”, Nonsense posts “aiuowerhzdinviaosufhas;fuhd” or generally off topic posts such as a post about cake in a thread about Ichigo.
2. Sexual content is a highly offensive subject. You can not, any under circumstance, post Ecchi pictures, links to porn sites or act out sexually. These offenses can lead to permanent banning.
3. No flaming/trolling. Flaming is when you purposely insult or act harshly toward another member with harmful intentions. It is a serious offense and can get you into a lot of trouble. Trolling is trying to lead someone into trouble which can also get you in a lot of trouble.
4. Spoilers! If you're going to talk about a manga than please put what you're talking about in spoilers. Not everyone reads manga so they don't want to get spoiled. Keep your conversations in spoilers. [SPOILER][/SPOILER]
5. No linking to other anime or drama sites.
   Really, just don’t do it. Its disrespectful toward the admin and staff of AC and all the hard work they do. This is the other big rule. If you don't like AC then that's fine. Do what you want just don't advertise another anime site on here. Also, if you don't like something than say something instead of hiding from it or trying to avoid it.
