Here's my newest story that's actually not fanfiction here's the prologue. It's only 1,147 words, but it is a prologue. Also, I've read over it, but my beta has not so excuse any mistakes.

I can still remember my beginning clearly, like most Feliotions above my age period. The Beginning was not only mine, but all the others of my kind, and of the other races as well. It was our start, there was no birth to mark our start of existence, only that day few age periods can still comprehend in their mind.

Although my age period is the last that are able to make out anything of that event, for we were only so old at the Beginning but still barely old enough to remember, I can recall that day as if I were watching it in a glass, unflawed mirror. Only about half of my age period can remember it, in which only perhaps a fourth can even recall it completely. We are the youngest period that knows from memory what happened. When we awoke, we were in estimate around nine years old.

When I had awakened, I was numb, yet so warm. I could only lay there and let my mind wander in a cloud of mist. I wasn’t sobbing, I had not even been moving, but soon enough I felt drops of translucent liquid trail down my cheeks. It had seemed I was unconsciously crying, as if someone had taken the drops and placed them on my blank face. It was then I had taken notice to my surroundings. Looking up, I had seen what seemed like glowing snow, sprinkled with specks of the midnight sky. At the time it had been the cross between dusk and the night, giving off an indigo hue in the sky.

Everywhere had been enveloped in flames. I had gazed up, wondering how the stars could just watch and shine so ignorantly in the heavens while the ground below was in utter turmoil, and lifted a hand to catch a flake of flaming snow. It floated in a gentle swerving motion, to then land without weight on my palm. The glow had managed to make its presence known not in mass, but the scolding burn that my hand withstood made sure to do the task. Even so, I was too disoriented to move and only stared with an incoherent mind at the ember.

In the next moment, a beautiful creature had appeared before me, hand outstretched. I had thought it was an angel. It would make sense in the situation, since everything was so like the description of the silent, seemingly comforting but deadly kiss of death. I took the angel’s hand, dropping the scorching snow to the ground. His face was pleasant, a soft and inviting look that smiled kindly at my response.

The angel had pristine porcelain skin, like the snow that was supposed to fall instead of the hot glowing one that had burned me. His hand, though the shade of snow, was warm, his long and thin fingers grasping my smaller. Looking at his face had made me truly believe he was an angel. He had eyes the color of the midday sky, the color of the heavens, half enclosed behind long lashes. The smile that made me feel so safe was of thin, but neatly carved lips, which were a pale pink. Hair the color of a bleached yellow, platinum blond, was long, falling freely and tickling my face as he leaned over me. The most prominent feature, by far, were the large, gorgeous pair of feathered wings that came from either side of his back. They were the color of the clouds, which I had imaged he had soared through with.

“We had been looking for you, my lady,” he whispered in a voice of perfect, smooth velvet. As if we had been in our own world and it had broken, I took notice of the crowd of people that herded behind him. They were of all the races, Aerovans, like the angel, Aquaphins, and Feliotions like me. All were young, most likely the oldest being only around an age of thirteen at most. Some turned to look at me and started to cry, I hadn’t been sure why, and had wondered why I had made them sad.

A second later, my angel had pulled me up and began walking me toward the crowd. I still hadn’t understood anything; my heart was racing and my furry ears alert. At the same time I was petrified, my tail retreated down stiffly. Standing up, I had seemed a foot shorter than the angel, yet he held my hand and guided me toward the people. As we grew closer my agitation grew as well, and I could not help but to hide behind the angel’s back and cling to his wings. They were the softest feathers, as if I were touching a form of liquid silk.

He laughed, and I then could feel myself being pushed forward to face the crowd. Many were still weeping, some excited while other looking as lost as I had felt. A boy stepped out of the crowd, he seemed younger than the angel, but still older than me. By looking at him, the word Aquaphin popped into my mind. Although that would mean he was a creature of the sea, he had neither gills nor fins; he looked like what humans were supposed to look like according to legend.

The boy had charcoal black hair, it was short and cut above the ears. He wasn’t as tall as the angel, a half a foot shorter was what is had looked like. Adding to features that contrasted the angel, his skin was tanned a golden brownish color. His eyes that looked toward me with warmth and something I couldn’t place were like melted chocolate. He gave of an aura that was different as well; the angel’s was calming where this one radiated with superiority and pride.

The angel nodded at him and the boy stepped forward to my other side. I had been scared, being surrounded by people much bigger than me, but as soon as the boy was next to me the crowd kneeled to the ground in unison.

I looked up at the angel in confusion, hoping he would grant me an answer to what was going on. He merely had smiled down at me in response. It had been the boy who had answered my unspoken question.

“We’ve found the empress of Feliota, the rulers have all been found and set. We can now start towards a life,” he trailed off and gave me a look I couldn’t place. Whatever it had been, it clearly was a form of determination. What he was determined towards I had, and still do not know. He had taken hold of my other hand, both the males on each side of me grasping one. All three of us had looked out towards the crowd, and that had marked our Beginning.

between writing fanfics that I have to update (or else i will anger fans who have and will send me messages to update...) I'm not sure when I'll be able to write some more of this one. I'll try though
