naruto is still young and dosn't know when to stop and when to start in some places.... unlike the more older people like JIRAIYA is older and has more grasp on battles because he has been fighting a lot longer.... also he knows a lot of things that will help him while all naruto has is his 9 tailed demon and Rasengan.... yes I know thats a lot of power but he can use it to do a lot more than that. and I am sure if Jiraiya had the 9tailed demon he would be unstopable because he knows a lot of moves.
