I don't know I like the lack of art because it feels less cluttered that way which is one reason I dislike other sites, but at the same time I agree maybe get different choices for backgrounds and/or characters.

This is the forum section. This is where you discuss anime. Not where you watch it. It would annoy more people than it would please if it was all cluttered. The simplicity makes it elegant. However, its good that this part of the site is decorated. But I would probably just leave if they changed the forum section.
