Veoh Slow Loading fix (And a in-test fix)

Alrighty then, had a lot of complaints so I went looking.

The sure-fire fix;
=================================
-NOTE: You'll need access to Veoh (Proxies won't help with this fix) and you'll need the Veoh app.
-NOTE2: Much better quality than streaming.

So here's what you do, note that this is only possible because AC has the default Veoh player.

On the player click on the menu button and copy the direct link there. (Or just keep clicking the player and you'll be taken there as well. [Doesnt work on some vids though])

On the newly opened Veoh page, scroll down to a few cm/inches/zoll/whatever below the description.

There's a download button there, clicking it will have your Veoh app download the vid. (It maxes out at about 620kb/sec)

The still in-test fix.

-NOTE:This is for Vista, Windows 7 and Internet Explorer7+ users. (For the Internet Explorer7+ users, those who have protected mode on.
-NOTE2; You are basically turning off a protective service of your computer if you do this, if you're paranoid, keep it on.
-NOTE3; This is the same thing that pops-up every time you try to install something, copy something, etc. yes, this is that *****.

Well, this fix is in-test, mainly because only I have tested it, and it seems to work for me.

Basically, what you need to do is to turn UAC (Vista and 7) or protected mode (Internet Explorer7+ ) off.

Theory

The thing is, UAC is a security measures available by default in Windows Vista and Windows 7 (The annoying security pop-up every time you try to run a program, that's the ***** alright) and is also present in IE7+'s protected mode.

I have disabled UAC because quite honestly, it's a *****. But since I turned it off I noticed I don't have to wait for 10 minutes, but more like 30 seconds, plus it loads normally.

Now the theory;
Veoh Web Player connects to 127.0.0.1, it is then fighting with UAC diplomatically, to gain access. You don't notice this, because UAC is a shitty program made by microsoft, and will not notify you of stuff happening right under your nose.
Due to this you get many couldn't find video messages. (UAC just doesn't allow you too)

But, with UAC turned off, the web player can connect to Veoh, grabbing the video link and loading it as well.

The in-test fix

For Vista and 7;
Go to Start Menu -> Control Panel -> User Accounts and Family Safety -> User Account, in here uncheck 'Enable UAC'

For Internet Explorer7+;
Go to Tools > Internet Options then into the security tab, under where the security level slider is untick Enable Protected Mode. Then apply all settings and restart internet Explorer.

So in other words (for non vista, Win7 users), you have to download the file.

ya, I haven't gotten my XP to stop working slowly, but when it does i'll check it out. Perhaps the XP's tcp issue might be able to solve it. For professional (windows ... professional) the 20% non-internet-speed might be a solution in other words plenty to check.

Though I haven't had slow loading with an XP yet. ^^

Not yet found a complete fix for XP users yet, but some stuff that may work. (didn't try these yet);

Add port 57695 to your firewall exceptions and routers' portforwarding.

www.portforward.com for help on forwarding ports. Just select your router and then just select any program and change the port for that program with the port for Veoh.
