try playing an easier song like When you were young play it on bass, try strumming up and down, getting in that habit will pay off as you get to harder difficulties, and just keep trying maybe play it at a slower speed

Also got another question. certain notes shine, whats does that mean?

im guessing strumming up and down would help me hit notes faster. i just strum down.

those are hammer ons you can play them with out strumming just strum tha note before and hit tha hammer on simply by pressing tha button so you dont have to strum. If you want a visual tha game has tutorials in tha options screen i think.

i finished the tutorials but i cant recall it saying that. it did mention hammer ons, but its said about them being close together. thanks for the help!!
