The first time i play it... it about 120+ hour all the way... But now i play it again this time i take my time and enjoy it... i only reach Empayer and it already 115+ hour i try to gain all their weapon and stuff...

dude in my opinion DQVIII ****ing sucked. its slow and the story is so predictable is ridiculous. I have FF12 but its one of the games i pre-ordered and picked up thats still in the plastic. I might try it out today just because im bored. But i wasted money on DQVIII and that game was so hyped up it made me madder than hell.

Dude, you really thought DQVIII sucked? Come on! I agree, the story's predictable. But the gameplay is amazing. The battle system was awesome. Great graphics, both artistically and technically. Amazing music. Awesome environments that made levelling up and exploration fun. It even had a casino minigame. And did you ever beat the Dragovian Trials? This game also had 2 cool endings! And don't get me started on the awesome Monster Arena. What more do you want from an RPG?

dude you are right about the majority of that stuff. the battle system was awesome. but alot of the other aspects turned me off. i want to be surprised by a rpg not feel like i wrote it myself. but i do have a problem with comparing games to other rpgs so maybe i didnt give it a shot

It's actually possible. One of my buddies beat the game in about 38 hours (he didn't do any of the sidequests, though, just went along with the story from start to finish).
