i don't think it's a smart move to take main char from 2 of 3 best ranked shows ever.. it's hard to decide who is stronger because of their will to not fall down..

Yeah, I guess. Besides, if this fight did happen... it'd never have a definite conclusion. If Luffy won, Naruto fans would riot through the streets and rape and pillage. If Naruto won, One Piece fans would never forgive the writer of that crossover. They'd fight to a draw or the fight would be interrupted.

ill say Luffy and yes im a op fanboy but im also a fan of naruto its just in my top 5 while one piece is tied for #1.

luffy because of his haki. i dont think naruto would be able to hit him, he will be able to know where naruto is at all times and know where he is going to attack.
if naruto does hit him will he be able to hurt him. luffy can make his skin as strong as iron so i dont think naruto would be able to hurt him.
Also luffy is fast really fast he is so fast he can dodge bullets as seen in the fight with the tenryuubito(something like that).
But naruto has the power of his tailed beast which heals him fast so luffy injures him he will heal almost immediately so im sure it would be a long fight seeing who falls first.

p.s now that i think about naruto is just as fast luffy or faster seeing as he inherited his speed from his father and he used it to outrun bees

I like both One Piece and Luffy more than Naruto and his show, but I have to give this to Naruto. I'll write down reasons later.

would mantra (color of observation) allow him to determine which clones are real and fake, I wonder. that'd be a pretty decisive factor imo.

Probably. Mantra is hearing out the living things, so since the clones (should) not have any thought and only do or say what Naruto commands, Luffy should be able to pick out the one with rational thoughts (unless the whole... Naruto's clones beating each other up in the first fight with Kakashi is meant to be taken seriously).
