The village itself had issues with just Pain a single individual with seven bodies and was able to take them down with relative ease. Though if you throw Naruto in the batter then yes they would have a chance. But if we did then we'd have to explain why the village did not help Naruto in his fight with Pain.

Moreover jutsu in the Naruto verse do not compare to the powers of the elements themselves as Sasuke's Raikiri was explained to be more powerful for it used the power an actual lightning bolt. Akainu himself is a living elemental monster who from his words is so powerful he can burn even fire.
The dude can even change the climate of an island and rain magma meteors from the sky.

Remember even with the skills that konoha ninja have they are still humans that have the durability of a human.

Good points, but still some shinobi's have some jutsu's that could give Akainu a hard time. Imagine amaterasu for example. But since this is Konoha vs Akainu, n without Naruto, I dont think they stand a chance. Like you said Akainu is jsut really strong, just like how Pain did that uhhh..whatstitsname jutsu that destroyed whole Konoha, Akainu could easily do the same with those Magma meteors... How would they possibly stop/counter that?

Yeah thats right, they dont have that high of a durability. Chakra is also a factor for them, and not for Akainu.

You guys are forgetting about 1 thing... Water Element Jutsus. Kakashi Vs Akainu, Kakashi would have a nice chance to win in a fair fight because he knows stuff like water vortex jutsu. I'm sure that there are others in the vilage that know water style jutsus

From what Oda suggests, half their body has to be in a body of water for them to feel helpless. Otherwise being wet in particular would not weaken them even if they were taken out of the ocean. Not a single konoha character has been shown able to use a sustained water jutsu in which a pool of water would cause Akainu to drown. Besides Akainu could just evaporate all the water before it reached him. Oh and water jutsu's only work if there is water in the area. Only kage level water users like the second hokage, the current Mizukage, and who can forget Kisame have been shown to use it whenever.

doubtful. Kamui will never land given the color of observation.

shikamaru + kakashi might have a chance. As soon as akainu gets captured he'd be killed by a kamui. I'd actually be curious as to how a color of observation user could deal with shikamaru. Since they could hear is thought process, but apparently he can think up 200 things at once. >.> He could do the opposite of luffy (not thinking) and try to confuse the shit out of him.

would probably have to go with akainu, to much destructive power, and akainu has crazy ass endurance even by OP standards
