The drama and movie industry has expanded beyond recognition in the past two decades. During my time (aheemm!!), actors were actors and singers were singers. Rarely can we find an artist accomplished in both acting and singing. Nowadays, it would seemed that if you are a singer, you are most possibly acting as well (and vice versa!).....thus the mushrooming of idol dramas (and really dodgy music artists!)! Some fans may think the moon of their idols, but I would like to think of myself as a realistic fan. I do not support a person because I think he or she is perfect but rather because the person has potential and a nice background/personality. So, let's hear it, fellow Drama Addicts ---who do you think should stay in the drama-movie industry and who should leave (eg: just stick to singing etc) OR who should just stay in the drama-movie industry and just leave singing to the real professionals?? WARNING: This thread is not suitable for young, screaming, gushing teenage to young adult fans who are unable to appreciate constructive criticisms of their idols!!!

To tell the truth, I'm absolutely no good in K-pop so I don't really know much about singing talents...though I can say that for example Yun Sang Hyeon (forever Oska for me) is better in acting than singing - at least in Secret Garden because I didn't hear him anywhere else^^

Ok.. to start off, two male actors come to my mind: Kim Hyun Joong and Lee Min Ho...both from the BOF fame. I feel that Hyun Joong should have just kept to singing and Min Ho (aka Ice/Marble Prince) should have kept to modelling. I can hear their fans screaming and cursing at me now.... but this is an honest opinion:- their talents are not in acting but elsewhere.

Lol, I agree that they don't have any acting talent but to tell the truth Kim Hyun Joong is still an eye candy for me and as I don't listen much to K-pop and don't watch videos - dramas are the only saurce for me to see him)))))

| Ultimate Hokage | I've recently learned that the girl playing the annoying second lead in You're beautiful is a singer. Her stage name is Uee. Now, I have no idea whatsoever if she's a good singer, but acting doesn't seem to be her path. On the other hand, everyone in You're beautiful acts over the top, in my opinion. It's probably a directing choice to highlight the fun, so the girl might show talent elsewhere... can't really say. By the way @Leonella: I'm with you on this one. Although I recognize Kim Hyun Joong's not a particularly good actor, he has what the French call "le physique du role", meaning a certain quality in his smile and his stance which makes one forget about his abilities (or lack thereof). I'm not an idol fan by any means, and am usually very severe with bad acting, but Kim Hyun Joong's got that "something" which makes me go unusually mild with him.

hehehe...you love to sing in karaoke bars?? here in our country, singing is a very rampant hobby...and there's a lot of good places wherein you can sing...you can even sing beside the road if you like...and we call it VIDEOKE MODE or VIDEOKE TIME...and it actually doesn't matter whether you are good in singing...what matters is you have given the crowd some entertainment...YouTube - Batibot(Screamo Version) [HD] sample...hehehe
