I like the use of liquefaction too.

V2 is a nice composition, but it feels a bit busy to me. I can't tell where the focus is supposed to be, so my eyes jump all around the tag, looking for somewhere to rest.

i feel that although its true that v1's blending is better, v2's background is unique and catches my eye immediately. it's an uncommon style, and to not make the whole picture seem awkward and weird, this person's got some good eye in bringing out the best of the super-colourful background

Although Inori's not exactly my fave character (understatement), we're not supposed to vote that way, so I vote with #1 because I like the warm colours and it's at least an interestingly drawn image of her. I also like the "burn" effects. (That's what they're called right? Can't remember that terminology all that well.)

That reminds me... props to the V2 artist for the interesting background. I actually was staring at it for a while earlier cuz it's kinda neat and forgot to mention it here before.
