blending is better, and colours are better. I find no need in colouring the speech bubbles(?).

+1 V1 I like the shading better as well as the darker tones and the shine to the eyes and the eye color and I can deal with or without speech bubbles being colored but I like the way they are colored and not just a plain solid color and the fact it removes the transparency of the bubbles.

I was about to say V1 for better shading and lighting, but then I noticed the opacity change in V2.
so, for nice execution of a difficult effect and better coloration...

V2 was nicer too if there one another artist's art ...I would have voted for both : D

I vote for V1. I think it looks better and I love the shading of it too.

+1 V1 - more detail in the shading, lots of work. Coloring choices are cooler, darker - appropriate to having lost a battle. nice subtle coloring (dark blue) of empty triangle on bottom. Both speech bubbles the same. Not sure the pupils in the eyes should be shadowed (to make them stand out), but it's effective.

V2 - loved the way the lower left speech bubble had the face filled in behind it! Would have voted for this one, if the other speech bubble had been similarly enhanced (don't know how it could have been done, however D: )

Colored in or left blank, I think the speech bubbles should match each other.
