Only reason is the flow.
v1 is good lightning is good,compo and text is awesome.
But the reason my vote went to v2 is cuz v1 was oversharpened.
But v1 is still good but argh!

+1 V1 I like the sharp effect I am familiar with the character and the softness of V2 does not go as well, I do like the flow of v2 but overall I just like the effects sharpness and text of V1 it suits Akira better.

Colours are better in my opinion.
Both are closed matched, and honestly speaking V2's blending is better.
However, even though V2's render did stand out(which was essential), i think it kinda looked awkward in the sea of blue. It's like just popping outta nowhere and the placing of the render wasn't all that flattering. Erasing part of the render makes it even weirder ._.
V1's render pops out at me, and though i don't like all the noise, it still appeals to me. Render doesn't look too out-of place, so since theme is render, V1's render wins ^^

Ugh, how to choose, they are both good in their own way.

I really, really want to vote for V1 b/c of lighting, composition, color choices, & those splattery things (sorry, brushes?? ). But it looks so pixelated to me - I don't know if that's a mistake, or intentional. Also I think it could use a border.

V2 is softer & the colors also work well. Nice blending(-?). choice was made to leave out the fur-trimmed hood flying behind, but I like that as part of the render.

Going to go with my first choice, although V2 is very good.

It looks a lot crisper, I like the contrast better, and I think it had a bigger impact with how bold it was.
