.GIF doesnt give true transparency, yet IE still doesnt support PNG properly.

That file above is saved as PNG giving true transparency in Opera/Firefox/Safari but IE still doesnt present PNG files properly so they always have a black or white background depending on the compression.

If you notice the white around the smileys on the dark skin, thats due to pseudo-transparency by GIF.
