NEW ADDITIONS AND VOTING RULES PLEASE READ


Now then, when I put up the voting thread, we're going to have a new set of rules. We will NOT use a poll.

Allow me to explain the new format and why we will use it.
Let's say we have 10 entries. Name the number of the entries you want to vote for starting with the best and you also must give a VALID REASON as to why you want to vote for it.

1-4. Brilliant concept, colors flow amazingly, dynamic, and it has great depth!
2-7. The color scheme and idea is excellent, but I think it's too busy.
3-3. Gorgeous flow, and very dynamic. The color scheme is not that great.

Example of posting a vote incorrectly that will not be counted.

1-4. Oooh pretty! Naruto is my favorite character! ^-^
2-7. I like all the stuff everywhere, Ichigo is hot. : P
3-3. Who's that person? Kind of looks like poop. : O



Whatever each voter votes for 1st will get 5 points, 2nd will get 3 points, and 3rd will get 1 point. Whoever accumulates the most overall points, wins. If you have any questions about this, just ask. The reason we are not using a poll is because there will be ties for x place, and with this system, it's less likely to happen.

You can't vote for your own, by the way.

And I like the use of lighting at the top...

Ths colours make the character look like she has a sense of freedom...
And they match the character well...

I vote for 5 as first place, and 3 as second place.
5 because
- I like how focus's more on his head and fades out at the bottom, which follows rule of thirds.
- Colors flow in the back.
- Takes up the space, eventhough the random purple thing on the right looks kinda weird.
- Nice lightsource and positioning of the stock.

3 becuase
- Must have took a lot of effort.
- A lot of detail.
- Follows rule of thirds
- But it could have had a lightsource.

If it isn't obvious enough, you cannot vote based on the character or the message per se. I already gave examples as to what was good and bad. The stock is something you use as a focal point, not a measure of GFX skill. We vote signatures based on GFX. I'll keep your votes valid, only because you referred back to color, just keep this in mind when you vote again.


This is why we're voting like this, so people that understand GFX will vote instead of random people that are voting just because of the character in it.


We need legit GFX reasons.


My Votes:

1- I really like how it's very sharp and bold, the color is deep and there's a lot of depth. The only thing that I don't like is that it's too blurry on the bottom right.


3- Extreme detail, that must have taken forever, man. But it seems like you've got several light sources which just makes it a bit awkward.
