| Rookie Ninja  |  It started in an office....
What's up everybody, I go by Omar Akil Solomon. I'm a senior Comm. Studies major at Eastern Illinois University. I'm crazy involved on campus in various student organizations (Orientation, Resident Assistant, Student Government, and the Black Student Union to name a few). My main philosophy in life is to always network. If you do not network in life, there will be no work in the future. I grew up on Japanimation, (that's what we old folks called back in the day lol) but I really fell off as I grew older. It wasn't until the summer of 2006 when my fire was re-ignited for anime. I was chillin in the office of my old community college, (I was the EIC of the student newspaper) and I happened to stumble across on a Naruto video on youtube. It was just a simple AMV of the Haku fight. I remembered watching that episode a few days back, so I did some research to find out what episode number that was, and watched it. I wondered though, if there were more episodes. My dreams came true realizing that the subs were faaaaaaaaaar ahead of the dubs (yes I was a noob at a certain time of my life I admit lol). From that point on, I've been watching Naruto non-stop. I realized I had a healthy problem, when I started watching Bleach and One Piece, buying merchandise, video games, and downloading the Number One song from Bleach on my mp3 player (Now you feel like number one, shining bright for everyone lol...it always plays when someone is about to get scraped in a fight) All in all, anime is a part of my regular schedule now and I love it. Many of friends used to make fun of me for watching shows in the library at times, but now they're watching the episodes with me. That's me in a nutshell......oh yeah  Ladies, I enjoy long walks on the beach, sports, singing in the shower, whatever lol.  |
