Can somebody tell me what the anime was about in general.

In a world with an alternate history, a great war finally comes to an end leaving the earth diseased and polluted. After an incident occurs in Dr. Azuma's lab, a race of mutant humans known as the Shinzo Ningen are unleashed upon the world. PLEASE GET THE ORIGINAL ANIME....this live action movie is complete sh*t....nm i think sh*t smells better....The anime was so incredible and cool, one of the first anime I watched back in 1993. This adaptation is crap! What happened to the black king, the swan, what happened when casherrn destroyed the black kings army with a blast of all of his stored energy? God...this was so horrible!

For those that liked this....go find the anime this movie doesnt deserve the name.

Now if we could get the anime here on animecrazy i would pee myself with utter glee!

This is taken from the Casherrn wiki, the plot of the Cashaan Robot Hunter released in 93. Though differs somewhat from the original series in 1973

Plot

Tetsuya Azuma (東鉄也, Azuma Tetsuya?), also known as Casshern, is a cybernetic neoroider (新造人間, Shinzō Ningen?, lit. "neo-human") who turned himself into a cyborg for the purpose of hunting down and destroying robots that have taken over the world. His late biological father, Dr. Azuma, was the inventor of the robots that were originally intended to serve humankind, but mutinied en masse when their cold logic concluded that the good of the Earth Ecosystem required the destruction of the human race.[5][6]

Casshern and his robotic dog, Friender, join forces with a beautiful girl named Luna to battle the robots led by their brutal boss known as the Black King.[7]

i also think that anime might be better. if in the future, earth turned like that, i wouldn't know what to do...so that dr. azuma was the main bad ass? and it really gave me the creeps when those neo humans came crawling out of the red chemical stuff water.

I love this movie, it is action packed and a great watch. I got this on DVD and watch it about every week.

Idk what you guys are talking about. This movie wasn't GOD INCARNATE but it was very very good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. You can't judge a Live action move based off the anime. It will never be as good. You have to judge it as a stand alone. A side note though did anybody notice instead of apostrophes tgere was a _f? what was that all about?

Got this dvd a while ago thought it was pretty good, actually had a thread on it as hadn't heard of it before. Fight scenes and effects are fab
