I'm soooo sad it ends at Ep.10. 2 more to go *sniff* No more hiro-kun & no more shitsujis & schoolgirls I wish jdramas play up the romance more esp since it's a shoujo drama. I'm gonna miss them all when it ends.. but thanks very much to the AC staff fr the much-appreciated subs/uploads, u guys/gals rock!

There's sometimes a general lack of intense romance in Asian dramas, but it sometimes just depends on the script too. For example, the Korean drama "Winter Sonata" had few scenes of physical affection show, but it packed such an intense love punch that the two characters could have just stared longingly at each other for the whole show and I would've still felt electrified. I think Hiro tried to convey his longing very well with his facial expression [and how he kept looking at his hand; it was so epic my friends made a joke about it which makes me LOL every time he looks at his hand and "flashes back"] & body language... Although, I am always put off by the lack of passion from the female leads... it seems the guys always deliver way more love. Still, it was a change I had to get used to especially since I come from watching Spanish soap operas where people swap saliva like changing undies and shows of affection are a little too intimate. |

| Umagon's Pony | No prob. Hmm..The last I checked, there was no move on a special yet, they are probably still wrapping up the 10th episode which is the last one. But well, with the popularity of the series, I am definitely betting on a special sometime soon. I'll have to keep checking the producer's blog then.

And it's only in these dramas that holding hands is a MAJOR way of affection and a simple hug is enough to make the fangirls go crazy. Hiro has definitely won more points on the last episode. He is finally showing a bit more emotion.

For example, I'm just as emotionally inept as Sumire in Kimi wa Petto - when I saw her play that character, I completely identified with her struggles to show her true face and emotions... so I felt like a fish in my water watching that show. I agree. I do like the focus on love and innocence in the dramas. [= There's something magical about just being boyfriend and girlfriend without all the stuff in between. =D | |
