Wow, that's a very strong contrast from the original, but I'm loving the difference.
Also, I think having Seira nurse you back to health after you've finished being the world's biggest harpy toward her is a far worse punishment than if she had just simply laughed at you.
It's interesting to see how much pain the whole ordeal was causing Maria and to have Seira's sickly sweetness at her bedside...priceless.

I did like Kaito before but it's like as each episode passes, he just turns more and more into this wonderful ball of cute. And it's beyond awesome that they're going to run away together, but it raises the question as to how long they'll be able to stay away. I think it would be a bit off to spend so much time developing all these characters at the school only to have them disappear in favour of Kaito's family.

My favourite scene this episode was Emiko-sensei's conversation with Maria in front of Mimura. So funny.
