I love Odagiri Joe!!! There is also Mifune Toshiro and Katori Shingo.

Male: Takuya Kimura Female: Yukie Nakama You really can't beat Kimura, take any of his dramas and they are on par with all the new actors out there. Nothing against Matsujun and Yamapi fans but Kimura has tons solid dramas I can name that all are great. The others got 2-3 or so you can name. Love Generation Long Vacation Pride Hero Beautiful Life Good Luck!! Watch any of those and you'll be a fan. And his latest ones like Mr Brain, Change and Karei naru Ichizoku are good. |

Matsujun is good but he's really only famous from HYD, Gokusen and that's it. Granted I liked Bambino! and Smile but he doesn't have the body of work. Oh well guess this is "favorite" and not "best". But I'll say he wasn't the best actor from HYD and Gokusen, I'd put Oguri Shun above him with his roles in some of the best dramas like GTO, Summer Snow, Hana Kimi, Densha Otoko, Stand Up and the Crows movies were awesome.
