Default Have any of you purchased your favorite Jdorama boxset with English subtitles?

I've been looking all over for a place to find my favorite JDoramas in English subtitles. Problem is, how do I know a site is legit?
Maybe it's because I've been watching Kurosagi recently, but I'm terribly paranoid.

I ran across this site -->
The One Stop Japanese Drama Shop ShopKTSLab

And it has a few shows I want to buy (Attention Please + SPs and Celeb to Binbo Taro) with subtitles, and all together it's not bad in price.

Now it looks pretty okay to me, it's even verified by Paypal. But you can never be to careful.

Have any of you used this site before? Is it legit? Is there another site where any of you have purchased shows with English Subtitles?
Or just skim through it and let me know your opinions on it?

I bought recently Nodame Cantabile over ebay. It was pretty accurate and fast. The subs were also okay. But the prices on the link you have there are much better. I might consider myself buying from there.

I think buying subs over ebay + shops like the one you posted Sophia are just dvd's of fansubbed drama. As in they are not legit. I think chances are you will get horrible subs

Thanks for asking this question. I've also been trying to find the best place(s) to shop for English-subbed goodies.

First, don't forget Amazon. And yeah, be wary of eBay (at least that's what I keep hearing... in the least, you might end up paying money for subs you could get for free elsewhere -- and chances are the seller stole them in the first place).

Now, I haven't used it yet, but I keep seeing YesAsia recommended. Lots of people claim it's legit, and you can pay via PayPal. However, some have complained that they had to pay an import tax. Not sure to what extent that applies... Anyone have personal experience to offer?

I don't know since i have never bought from YesAsia, but i have heard they are legit. That doesn't mean that there subs are good though. I've heard people say that they got hong kong (really bad ) subs from YesAsia. The only thing about YesAsia is that they license their content

YesAsia definately looks a lot more respectable than the shop I posted in the OP. But geeeez, the boxsets are very expensive! And if there is also an import tax included...I'd rather throw in my money for my boxsets on the other site and get ripped off rather than pay those fees. >.<

lol I personally would just download the subs rather than pay a ridiculous amount especially if it isn't going to support the company who created the drama. Hopefully DC will soon have downloads

Yeaaah. I guess I could just download and burn to discs, but I really wanted the offical boxset in my hands and wanted to be able to watch them on my television and not on the computer with headphones on. Plus, before I found this site, I had a mess of a time trying to find each episode, and some parts would be missing and it was always a hassle! Just wanted them all on a shelf that I could pick out whenever I needed. =)
