Hi, I I'm new to the forum and I haven't seen that many doramas yet, so I was wondering which were worth watching? Amongst the ones I've seen, I really liked shows like Maou, Zeni Geba and RH plus ^^ |

Well that really depends on what kind of drama you like. Genre wise, what do you like? Because we could be suggesting Romance or high-school themed dramas and you may not like that kind of theme. ^^ So give us a direction.

I guess I like psychological and mystery dramas. something a little dark ^^ It's not that I don't like romance / high school dramas, but I think they are boring if they are only about romance or high school life... I hope I'm making sense :P |

There are so many good drama/movies with mystery/psychological!! This is a little bit random recommendation: Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi Summary: The story opens after a young female student kills herself by jumping off a balcony. It's soon discovered that she was in fact stabbed, and the room arranged to make it look like a suicide. And so we begin. A few minor details lead Detective Kanzo (Akashiya Sanma) to suspect that Ryo (Kimura Takuya), an enigmatic chef's assistant, knows more about her death. The two have run into each other by chance a few times, and each time left Kanzo with an uncomfortable feeling. Every clue that is revealed seems to lead to more questions about Ryo, his obsessive girlfriend, his callous and manipulative relations with several women, and about a painful memory from Kanzo's past. Things get more complicated when a powerful love/hate relationship develops between Ryo and Kanza's little sister, the beautiful Yuko (Fukatsu Eri). What exactly is their connection? As the evidence (and body count) rises, Kanza tries desperately to save his sister from Ryo's influence. He's no saint, but is he the Devil Kanza thinks he is? And why? The answers will floor you, even when you think you've got them figured out already. Also Liar game is really good... Summary: Kanzaki Nao is an honest college student who receives a hundred million yen one day, along with a card saying she has been chosen to take part in the "Liar Game". The aim of the game is to trick the other players out of their hundred million dollars. At the end, the winner gets the hundred million and the loser is a hundred million yen in debt. The next day, she receives notification that her opponent is her former teacher, Fujisawa Kazuo. She goes to him, seeking help, but ends up getting tricked into handing her money over. Desperate, she approaches the police for help, but they are unable to do anything. However, she is told of a mastermind swindler, Akiyama Shinichi, who is to be released from jail the next day. Desperate, she goes to him for help. -- I'm sure everyone will recommend more drama/movie so I'll stop here. If you need more, don't hesitate to ask for it. Everyone here is very helpful

- If you're looking for something dark, there's Midnight Sun Journey. It's not recent, but I really loved it. But it's pretty disturbing. - Some that were already suggested are Liar Game and Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi/A Million Stars Falling From the Sky. - Another one that's kind of in those genres, Kurosagi. It also has a movie that came out I think last year. - Even though it's older, I liked how Remote played out. - Shigeshoshi is pretty dark, plus it's psychological. Though I don't really know a place where you can find all of the episodes with subs. - Since you like RH Plus, if you want another vampire drama, there's Vampire Host. I remember it's a little dark. - Also, there's Nanase Futatabi, which is more supernatural. I can't really say much because I've been too lazy to finish it, but I liked the episodes I watched. I hope I helped. If you watch all of these, you'll be busy for a while. [: |
