Any 2009 Dramas worth watching? - AnimeCrazy.net Forums

I haven't watched a drama since Buzzer Beat finished. So I would love to know what dramas from this year are worth watching. Can be from any country, Japan, Korea, China, etc The last dramas I remember Watching are Buzzer Beat, Last Friends, Atashinchi No Danshi, Voice, Boys Before Flower, The Ueno Juri one, Majo Saiban and a few others I don't remember.

So... Please tell me what drama are worth watching that has been released this year or last year if you really want to recommend it. Oh I hate tear jerking dramas so PLEASE!! do not recommend me those unless its a happy tear jerker lol. Thanks! Hope you guys and girls can help me out here, Been dying to watch a drama lately since its the weekend.

Well for me personally 2009 was the worst year of doramas so far but my favorite out of all was Aishiteru

Hmm, suprisingly I liked the following JDrama:

1) Mei chan no Shitsuji (Mei chans Butler)
I thought this show was funny and down-to-earth geeky with the usual corny tear-jerking JDrama does :-). Not sure if it is a drama to put out during fairly bad economic times though.

2) Mr. Brain
I thought this was a good experimental format for JDrama. It features the legendary KimuTaku (from JBoyband SMAP) has a smattering of NCIS/CIS/24 feel to it. Dorky yet witty.

3) Boss
Was definitely my favorite so far this year. It leans a bit more towards more serious NCIS and not the typical Japanese detective show format. Yuki Amami who plays the lead is brilliant, career-minded, funny and every bit of woman (I hope this is a growing trend).

These are much different from what cheesecrayons graciously provided, but I hope you find something you like. Shoot me a reply and let me know what you thought of anything you tried!

"Mei-chan no shitsuji" seems to be great, I just started to watch it

"Ghost Friends" - I really enjoyed!!!

"Lovers at the call center" (Call center no koibito) - are also wonderful

"Drifting net cafe" (Hyooryuu netto kafe) - are interesting - but still waiting for some episodes here...

"33 minute detective" (Sanjuusan pun tantei) - is very funny (but not complete here)

well, I LOVE drama (or better said: "dorama") because I can enjoy story, people and especially the setting in Japan - cos' I miss Japan endlessly...
