Well, yeah. Again it's a manga adaption. They sometimes go over board with keeping characters close to the manga - this is only my guess though. I haven't read the manga, so I'm not sure what the character's like there.
BUT I actually really like these characters when they're acted out well. And Narimiya Hiroki definitely does it perfectly.

Just one thing about the "copy of 24" thingy: If you wanna survive in the drama section, don't you EVER compare dramas to western tv series. Nah~ I'm joking, but yeah.

I totally loved this drama for 3 reasons, It has Narimiya Hiroki, Miura Haruma, and Seto Takeru in it...the story was good and so was the acting!!
